    We were excited to purchase these Dyson Humidifiers - we bought two. We returned them in two days. The were cumbersome and to be quite frank, they were tempermental and just did not humidify our rooms properly.

    Having the right tool for the job can make life easier, simpler and more comfortable. And while the Dyson AM10 is a slick-looking piece of kit, it lacks the oomph to keep anything but a very small room at acceptable humidity levels. We have tried various settings (the Auto function is essentially worthless as it only wants to get the room to 40% humidity, which in a Chicago winter means the area immediately around the humidifier is near 40%, but a few feet away it's at <30%#. So we resort to setting the humidity level as high as it will go #70%#, and playing with the fan's speed to spread that moisture around. Except that the amount of moisture it puts out is very small, and the fan cools the room as it spreads humidity. Verdict? This humidifier is made more for a small room's summer AC-dried air where the overall feel of the room can benefit from a fan blowing cooler, humidified air. In a winter setting where the you need serious humidifying capacity and warmer air, this is just simply not the right tool for the job. We'll have to wait for the heater/humidifier #instead of just a fan/humidifier) before those of us in colder climates can use the AM10.

    Unit arrived with water in the tank and it looks like it had previously been returned. Immediately returned to the store.

    I purchased this humidifier about 30 days ago. It's fantastic, I live in Chicago and these cold days with the furnace and fireplace constantly running the air is dry. The remote is nice along with the digital display. You can really feel the difference. There are 2 reasons why I didn't give it 5 stars. The first and the biggest is the tank capacity. They only way this thing last 18 hours as advertised is on fan speed of maybe 3 and a percentage of 30%.. I run mine on Auto humidity and a fan speed of 5 and it lasts maybe 10 hours. The 2nd is, and this is not a huge deal but the digital display and power plug lights are bright if you are using it in a bedroom they maybe to much. A night time mode would be nice.

    I love Dyson products and I needed a humidifier, so it was only natural to purchase one by Dyson. This humidifier is amazing and quiet. I noticed a huge difference after just one night. It has two settings, automatic and manual. I usually have it set on automatic, and the humidifier will adjust to the room when dispensing the right amount of humidity. The water container is a bit small, but on automatic, I only refill the water container about once a week. The fan is also a big plus!! With routine cleaning and maintenance, I think it'll last years just like all my other Dyson products.

    This is a classic dyson product. Aesthetically well thought out, easy to use, and mostly easy to assemble. Remote control is only way to change several settings, and otherwise can use without the manual. That being said, my only gripe is the water reservoir/tank needs to be squarely placed for the humidifier to work, and this can occasionally take a few seconds to fix - I've pinched the skin on my fingertips setting it in place numerous times.

    I was excited to find Dyson makes a humidifier. Normally, humidifiers pour mist out of a small area. This one goes around the fan portion but does not provide noticeable moisture. I never saw it go all the way around the fan. It was just blowing a slight mist out of the bottom half of the fan. The tank is small, has to be refilled daily and the fan doesn't move. I placed it next to my bed. Without going into details, I felt no benefits of sleeping with a humidifier the next morning. I've given it a fair try and it's not worth having.

    Extremely expensive machine with a short life span

    My humidifier suddenly stopped working after 2.5 years and the only advice I was given from customer support was basically to unplug and plug the machine again. Since that obviously didn't work, the only other option I was provided was to drive to a random location 45 min. away (I lived in a major city) and pay ~1/2 of the original cost of the machine and to have it serviced. I now have no choice but to throw away the device, which is not only extremely wasteful but so environmentally unfriendly as well. New buyers be warned!

    I was always a big fan of Dyson products. I have a vacuum and enjoy vacuuming my house! However, Dyson humidifier is a complete opposite experience. We purchased it for my baby girl. For winter, when the air in the house gets very dry and when she has her sinuses, to help her breath easier at nights. It worked well in the beginning but after couple of months it started to leak. I don't mind spending money for quality but my main concern is spending money on something that doesn't work properly.
