The fan is super quiet and powerful for its size. The only downside is the remote & speed controls

It looks like it would be a cool fan but it only moves air. Packaging should have specified.

For the money I should have purchased a window air conditioner. When the fan oscillates it squeaks. Also the fan is as loud as any other fan you buy at target or Kmart I called the company to return it, it's such a process not worth my time. I am going to exchange it at Best Buy maybe the one I have is a lemon. Really super disappointed.

Works really well for a small room or office perfect for this time of year.

I bought this for my wife's office in hopes it would help cool down the warmest room in the house. In the end it is still a really expensive fan. I have other Dyson products and have loved them but this is not worth the luxury price in my opinion.

Usually there's not much to say about a fan except that it blows air. While that applies to the Dyson fans as well, there's so much more to them. The bladeless design makes it safe for kids and pets which I was worried about with my cat trying to play with it. It's also extremely quiet compared to most other fans of similar power. Heck, if anything, I'm willing to pay a bit more just for the great designs they have. The only real detractor can be the price, but you get what you pay for with a very high quality item that isn't going to break in a year or two. I still got 4 years of the Geek Squad Protection so that I could just have anything taken care of from the store if something does happen to it. I've been selling the Dyson products for a couple years, but I really got the desire to purchase one of the fans after seeing them in several anime series that I had purchased. Another case of very successful advertising even if Dyson didn't pay for it!

Non dust builder. It's not annoying like most. Keeps cool.

I got this because of all the hype of Dyson. It is very quiet and circulates air. I am more of a Vornado kinda guy though I like to hear the noise of a fan and well they move a lot more air for less then half the price. If you want expensive and quiet the this fan is for you.

Great fan overall but wish it had one higher speed

Based on Dyson's ad campaign and info on their website, I expected this fan to run quieter and really chill the air. You can definitely hear it when it's on, and it doesn't make the room it's in any cooler than a regular fan. But it looks cool.

i would suggest this for any small bedroom/work area

Got this for my son for his dorm room and he's thrilled with it. It's completely quiet and he loves the fact that he can control it by remote. It is really expensive however, for a fan. That's the only reason for the less stars.

Never thought I would see the day I would spend $$$ on a table fan. So, first of all, if you on a budget skip it. Second of all, if you're not into to 'COOL', skip it. Third of all, if you don't appreciate the engineering put into a product, skip it. Having said that, I really like this fan; it's quiet, it functions as advertised, it's well made, and it's COOL! I love justifying my pricey purchase to people by telling them "well it has a Helmholtz cavity". I have owned a number of fans in my lifetime, some were OK, most were cheap junk. There are fans that will move more air, however, they sound like a B-29 on a bombing run. This fan moves sufficient air quietly and in a manner of speaking 'gracefully'! If you can afford it, get it!
