Particularly for this fan, I use it in my office where I have 2 desktops and it generally gets warm during the summers. So far, since it has been getting warmer, it has helped move the air around and kept me cool. Recommend this fan to anyone that wants a fan that requires low maintenance.

I can turn it up to a max 10 setting and it is still as quiet as my old fan when it was at it lowest setting, and it didn't work as well as the Dyson.

Despite what you read this fan is NOT noisy at all. Have to get above 5 to even hear it. Everyone that sees it talks about how they love the looks. Can adjust whether you want it blowing in one spot or oscillating. My Granddaughter had to show me how the remote attaches to the top with a magnet! Thinking of buying another one for my bedroom when it goes on sale.

My mistake, just because you have central AC does not mean you cannot use the fan. It circulates the AC for any open area, love it. I let my daughter keep my first and I bought another for me.
