Very light, all plastic components. I was expecting something more sophisticated. Easy to use and clean, however I will not spend this much money on a dyson fan again.

The air temperature does not change, it is the air flow which cools the user. Each of the machines have the option of increasing the speed of the air expelled from the machine, which is adjusted with the remote control. End up buying elswhere, from the store, instead of ordering.

The AM07's air is drawn in by an impeller at the base, at high speeds by an energy efficient brushless DC motor. A high-velocity jet of air then exits the loop amplifier and creates an area of low pressure that draws in air from behind the fan. The air temperature which flows through does not change. Rather it is the air flow in which cools you.

I love that it’s bladeless and that it’s an attractive design. The tower fan is surprisingly light for how tall it is. I like that it doesn’t take up a large footprint. The fan’s performance is really great. I can set it on the other side of my bedroom (roughly 7-8 feet away from the bed) and it provides a nice stream of air without any interruption. It has 10 different levels of intensity so I can dial it in to the exact level I want it at. The oscillation works as expected. It’s a steady rotation (70 degree angle according to Dyson). I found that it was more than enough range to cover all the seating in my living room. The sleep timer is also nice and can be run for as little as 15 minutes and up to 9 hours. My only real complaint is the remote. The design of the remote is fine and easy to understand. My complaint is that it needs a clear line of sight to the fan to work, and in my experience it was very finicky. Overall it’s a great fan that works well and it has essential features.

This blows the the room temperature room air out. So if your hot, you will remain hot even if it's on the 9th or 10th speed. Unfortunately I didn't read the reviews and when I went to return it it was after the 30 days. Hopefully this helps save someone a couple hundred bucks!

With regard to the cooling of your air, I can confirm that our Purifiers & fans do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces surrounding air to be drawn into the airflow, resulting in a powerful stream of smooth cooling air.

As for the durability, you will be happy to know that our machines are made from polycarbonate ABS – the same material used in riot shields and crash helmets. They are tough, we subject them to 50,000 hours of testing and 550 individual tests – all to ensure that they can withstand a lifetime’s hard use.
