The air temperature does not change, it is the air flow which cools the user. Each of the machines have the option of increasing the speed of the air expelled from the machine, which is adjusted with the remote control. End up buying elswhere, from the store, instead of ordering.

We were extremely happy with the fans different levels of power, and its ability to make a room comfortable quickly! The icing on the cake was the blade free design, which having 9 little grandchildren makes this a perfect find!

I absolutely love it! First of all, the fan takes up minimal space. It has a very small footprint, especially when compared to other fans with standard blades that push the air. This tower fan doesn't have blades. It simply has the air multiplier feature that, in my opinion, spreads the air flow wider than a normal fan. It also comes with a remote control which allows a person to increase or decrease the fan speed. It also allows you to control the motion of the fan to broadcast air left to right. The fan doesn't pull air from behind it like most fans. The base actually has vent holes that pull air from below the fan and push it through the top of the fan. If you are looking for a fan that produces a lot of noise, this is not the fan for you. It is a lot quieter then a normal fan. It came well packaged and was fairly easy to assemble. It was essentially three pieces. The flat base, the fan motor, and the top where the air comes out. The white color of the fan does seem to attract/collect dirt easily. Over all, im happy with this fan!

The AM07's air is drawn in by an impeller at the base, at high speeds by an energy efficient brushless DC motor. A high-velocity jet of air then exits the loop amplifier and creates an area of low pressure that draws in air from behind the fan. The air temperature which flows through does not change. Rather it is the air flow in which cools you.

Don't spend your money

This blows the the room temperature room air out. So if your hot, you will remain hot even if it's on the 9th or 10th speed. Unfortunately I didn't read the reviews and when I went to return it it was after the 30 days. Hopefully this helps save someone a couple hundred bucks!

With regard to the cooling of your air, I can confirm that our Purifiers & fans do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces surrounding air to be drawn into the airflow, resulting in a powerful stream of smooth cooling air.

Dyson sound engineers have worked on reducing the tonality of the sound produced by Dyson Air Multiplier™ fans, by targeting specific frequencies. Noise isn’t only about the decibel level, but the quality of the sound being produced.

You can change the air speed from levels 1-10 on your AM07 unit, however you cannot change the cool air temperature.

I hit Best Buy during its 20% off discount sale on small appliances. I also had another discount coupon plus reward zone points. So, I ended up getting the fan at half off. Still expensive, but a little more justified as the fan feels and looks quality. I wanted "white noise" to help sleep and extra air circulation. This fan on the highest setting (10) sounds like you are inflight on a commercial airliner or in a hotel room with the rooms A/C unit cranked up to high! Just a smooth steady white noise sound that helps with a good night's sleep. Around 5 or less, you barely hear it. Anyway, no fan is ever going to be "quiet." The air coming from it is impressive at all levels. I can sit it directly on the floor and the height is perfect for airflow right across the top of my bed. The remote is great. The magnetic feature to set it on the top of the unit is nice. Cleaning will be easy. It was an easy set up right out of the box. It is an unobtrusive fan. Looks great. Performs awesome. If you can get it on sale, I highly recommend it.
