Posted .Hi there. Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your support. Our AM07 has been re-engineered to be up to 75% quieter and more energy efficient, without compromising performance. The fan has re-engineered airflow paths for reduced air turbulence. This makes it quieter and more energy efficient. The machine has a number of new features such as remote control, sleep timer and improved oscillation. The AM07 fan works by drawing air in by a mixed flow impeller, however, only a small percentage of the air generated passes through the impeller the rest of the air is drawn from the surrounding air. Thank you for your review. The Dyson AM07 is designed to be quieter than any of our previous offerings and it features a maximum noise output of 64 dBa. By reducing turbulence within Dyson Cool™ fans, Dyson engineers were able to make them quieter. To do this, they streamlined the airflow paths within the machines, allowing air to pass through smoothly. They also designed a Helmholtz cavity for each fan, which captures and dissipates sound from the motor.
Reducing turbulence makes the fans quieter, but it also means that less energy is required to move air through them. While the fans still produce powerful airflow, their motors are calibrated to run more slowly, drawing 10% less energy.

An air conditioner refrigerates the air it supplies, allowing the air in the room to be made cooler than the ambient temperature outside. The Dyson Air Multiplier™ fan cools a person by moving air over and around them.

I can't sleep because of the noise

The fan was not set to oscillate when the noise occurs. This is my first and last experience with this manufacturer.

The icing on the cake was the blade free design, which having 9 little grandchildren makes this a perfect find!

Ehhh Not What I Expected

The room was still hot. I left it on for hours and the fan didn't do anything to make the room cooler. It looks really cool, totally modern, and nothing like I've ever had. But not for me.

Our air multiplier line, unlike an AC unit that is designed to chill the air, consists of blade-less fans. The air temperature does not change, it is the air flow which cools the user. Each of the machines have the option of increasing the speed of the air expelled from the machine, which is adjusted with the remote control.

Pretty ‘Cool’ Fan

It provides better airflow directly to us than a standard ceiling fan, and there really are no noticeable moving parts. The aesthetics of it, as all Dyson products, is a nice fit to our home. Assembly was easy and quick, and its ready to go within 1 -2 min after opening. You really don’t even need the instructions because the operation of it is simple and intuitive. One of the better features is that its quieter than a normal fan, which is great since we work from home and enjoy a way to stay cooler during the hot summers without the extra noise during meetings or calls. With the remote we don’t even have to get up to make any changes to it, just point and click.. The remote is small, and easy to use. 4 simple functions with the remote: Power, Oscillating, Speed, and Timer options. The remote fits in your hand comfortably and even has a magnetic attachment to the top of the fan to help you not misplace it. Its quite responsive but you do need to be facing the front of the fan for it to work. The only thing I wasn’t impressed with was the power cord length. While this is not a deal breaker of any kind, it can be an inconvenience. I’d say the cord is roughly about 5 feet long just looking at it. Having the flexibility to move it around a room more would be nice, but nothing a small extension cord can’t fix. Overall its a great fan to have and puts out a good amount of air considering it doesn’t use traditional fan blades. We have received several compliments from our guests on how nice it is.

My only complaint and the reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 is because I wish the sensor for the remote was at the top of the fan instead of the bottom. I have it at the foot of my bed and it will not turn on/off unless the remote is pointing to the sensor at the bottom of the fan; thus requiring me to get out of bed to power on/off (god forbid I know but still a minor inconvenience).

Initial I had my doubts just because of my previous fans I’ve used through the years, a lot of them had a distinct flaw from one to another. But honestly this fan covers a lot of issues I’ve had with previous fans. From a lack of stability to being loud. This fan has a really good flow system to the point where I can stay in my room with the door close. A little background is that I tend to play PC games in my room and it gets really humid due to my PC heating up. A lot of fans would just be too loud and not get the job done. I never really spent a lot on a fan but I would say this was worth it as it was small and powerful and still not too loud unless on max settings. Everyone the solution to your humid problems is this fan!
