If you want to heat an area larger than around your desk, there are better options. It takes a while to warm a 10x14 room. Very overpriced for its performance. An upside is the remote is very good.

We are happy to hear that thus far in your use, you've found the AM09 to be an effective heating option for your smaller spaces. Dyson AM09 is ideal at hearing a 400 sq. ft. room. Larger spaces may benefit from multiple units. Your machine also features two airflow modes, as part of Dyson Jet Focus technology. This will allow you to set your unit to blow out in diffused mode for whole-room use, or focused mode for personal heating. This fan is quiet, high quality and does a great job on both the fan and heater mode. I use it in my bedroom and the timer for the heat is awesome - I don't have to guess whether I turned it off or not. Loved it so much, I bought another for my daughter's room.

We purchased it for our newborn when he gets out of his bath to keep the area around him warm. It's a powerful heating component. We have not used it for the cooling function so I cannot speak for that. Overall I would recommend it if using as a heater.

Easy to use and adjust the temperature and really keeps the room warm. Pay attention to the dimensions of the unit as the picture on the website makes it seem significantly taller.
