I bought it as a gift for my grandson's room because it gets very cold at night. My son loves it mainly due to the fact that when the heat temp is reached it automatically shuts off. You do need to put it on a table or dresser, etc.

Bought this to heat up an office area located in a basement. The entire room gets ato a very comfortable temperature. However, one of the best features of this fan is how quiet it is.

Works great for it’s meant to do. After 6 months it wouldn’t power up anymore. Dyson customer service came through though. They replaced it for free.

It does it's job as far as heaters and fans go. Couldn't imagine ever paying full price, luckily it was on sale.

This one boasts a quiet mode, which helped because we bought a white model that was loud at night when it would turn on and off to moderate the temperature in the room. We could not sleep well as we were constantly woken up, but this one is a little better on the sound. However, with that said, I feel that this product doesn't heat or cool as well. It's a dual product and because of that, you only get average performance. I used it in a basement and at the highest level, it would at times feel like cool air was blowing, it wasn't powerful enough.

I love the design, it complements my room. The fan is quite powerful with 10 air settings. Very versatile, you can use during the summer and winter. Worth every penny. Love it!

My review -- device is great --- however the power on button is too bright and you have to physically cover it up at night so you can get your room dark it is not as quiet as I thought it would be once you increase flow > than 4

Bought it as discount, pretty expensive as full price. I like it as heater more in the winter time than as a fan in summer time. The fan in my opinion is too weak and noisy. Has a remote that is very way to lose

bought this for the house and ended up taking it to the office. now I have to buy another for my wife . only thing is if you lose the remote its almost impossible to change the functions from cold to hot.

I got this as a gift for my boyfriend. He seemed skeptical at first, but now jokes that he's glad he thought of it. I only wanted the fan function, but got the one with a heater because it actually was cheaper.

I bought this to help cool down my living room. I felt that this fan performance is better geared to cool down a small office. Ultimately, I find it to be overpriced, and returned it.

This is my first Dyson product, and this is the best stand alone heater/fan in the world. Well, ok, maybe not, but this thing is really cool.

Exactly what I wanted. Circulates air well with multiple options of directing the air. Haven't used heat option yet as it's summer so can't speak to that but cool option is great.

I believe I bought a really good product I’m glad I purchased it on sale. It was still difficult to purchase on sale. I wish it had just a little more power to it for the fan, but the heater is amazing!

Beautiful product. The only issue I have is that it makes this subtle clicking sound when it completes its rotation. Saw complaints about it but it's not a deal breaker.

This fan is good for cooling a small space. Doesn't have the air flow volume which Dyson prides themselves in their ads. Won't know about the heating element until December when it gets cool in Houston.

This model cools well enough not just blowing air around and warms up pretty quickly. A little noisier than I was expecting but much quieter that smaller, non Dyson units I've used. No more having to switch out each season!

I love this fan... its perfect for my pregnant wife that has extremely bad hot flashes. The only thing that is a downer is that its so easy to misplace the remote. The magnet isnt that strong to hold it up top.

It works well, providing plenty of airflow in both hot and cool modes. Not as quiet on higher speeds as I had hoped, especially when considering its cost. But that ultimately wasn't the problem. Within the first week of use, as the fan would hit the end of it's rotation and begin to turn the other direction, it developed a loud clicking nose. Didn't think this was normal, so I decided to return it. Would have kept it if it wasn't for the noise it started making. But I didn't trust its longevity after that.

In a kids bedroom where just a degree or two is needed this fan lets me sleep comfortably through the night without worrying about curious fingers and hot surfaces or moving parts.
