The only thing it heats is itself. Very very pooor

It's no difference to an ordinary fan except for the expensive name.

I was a little skeptical about buying this and spending this much money for a fan/heater. Unboxed it snapped on the base and cranked it up. We put it in a room that is about 7x10 or about 700 square feet, above our garage, a room that is always cold in the winter. I was really surprised how warm it got the room setting it at 72 degrees! I put the fan speed on 5 but I'm still playing around with it to dial it in. What can I say, its a bit expensive but it does a really , really good job at heating our room. It has an oscillation feature as well as a tilt function to get the air where you need it. the remote magnetically sits atop the unit. Also it is fairly quiet, it just depends on how high you have to set it or how cold the room is. It will cycle on and off once it gets to temp. Haven't messed with the fan yet. So far I'm very pleased with it!

This fan works really well! It is a little loud when on full blast, but not as loud as the blade fans on low. It heats very quickly, cools down areas quickly, and can be placed on a timer. One of the things I like most about it, is that it is small enough to carry around the house. I don't mind bringing it all over the house with me. It easily fits on the bedside table, but it can be tilted up or down to make the air reach where you want it to. I dislike the fact that without the controller the fan only turns on and off, but easy solution... Be resoponsible and put the controller back top of the fan. There is a magnet there that holds it in place.

So in terms of being a heater, it's an expensive option. For a fan, it's an expensive option. It's definitely built to last and it's aesthetically cool looking. A lot of my guests think it's magic. Normally I would say you get what you pay for but in this case, you pay a lot and get a neat looking fan.

Every time I walked by these, I always said "why does anyone need a $450 fan?" Well, it's worth it. I always had issues keeping my living room at the right temperature in the winter up here in the frozen north. I picked this up and put it in the corner of the room, set the temp, and let it do its thing. Perfect temp, all day, every day, and I can drop the thermostat down in the room too! My guess is after a year or two, the energy savings will pay for the fan. Money well spent.

I just got mine in the mail yesterday, it was a cyber Monday purchase. It was easy to set up, and works wonderfully! My only 2 complaints are 1) it was shipped in its original packaging so anyone who saw it knew what it was and could have taken it, and 2) it uses quite a bit of wattage. Other than that, I love it!!

the heating option is very nice, as is the remote feature. it is slightly noisy at higher settings, but overall really good.

Great multipurpose device with low profile that fits almost anywhere. It is quiet and effective although I think the room I am using it in is a bit too big, so be sure to read the recommended coverage area.

This fan not only puts out lots of air but the sound is so quiet & soothing compared to any other fan.

I bought this fan thinking it would be great and it blew expectations. The little stand that holds it comes unassembled so it took a good 5 minutes figuring it out how to put it in. The heat feels so good and doesn't feel like dry heat. The cooling part I thought would be colder. So its ok. I can just put that near my AC. The remote is very easy to use. I don't need the manuals to figure it out. This is awesome.

I have a few Dyson products in my house and all I would say have been worth their money...except one and that one is the AM09 cooling and heating fan. This fan was purchased for its ability to both cool and heat vs having to buy two units...one for heating and one for cooling. The idea sounds great and is convenient, however, for its cost it does only an okay job. Owing it being a Dyson I kept it because of convenience and the belief that it would last. After the warranty expired, the unit no longer heats and gives an error code H2. I followed the online instructions to troubleshoot it, but that did not fix the problem. I called up Dyson for repairs and they told me sadly since it is past warranty they would not replace it for me. Furthermore when I inquired about having it repaired, they told me at this time there is no fix for the problem. For such an expensive fan, this is really disappointing. Please avoid these fans, because there is no servicing for the Dyson AM09 if it breaks down. I gave it 2 stars because of convenience.

Very noisy and hard to endure the smell during operation. The performance of inferior generic tower fan. Nevertheless, much more expensive than the tower fan. Among the worst so far bought fan. If you plan on getting this for cooling don't waist your money.

Best fan I have ever had in my life. So Happy I purchased this fan. It cools a warm room within an hour. I got it because although we do keep the AC running, sometimes I do workouts at home and it gets hot, this fan helps me stay cool. Awesome Fan!

I do not recommend this product if you have any care for your respiratory health! I have two Dyson fans and one heater/fan combo. I was so happy with them I went out to buy this model, despite the fact they are all very pricey. But this model is not like all the others I have. I brought this one home, plugged it in, and WHOA! We all had to quickly turn it off and air out the house--what a horrible SMELL! What happened Dyson!!?? Are you now manufacturing in some other country that uses the very cheapest, most toxic plastic parts? Is it some kind of chemical coating? What gives? I am taking this right back, and not trusting Dyson ever again!

Dyson really did it big with this product. Keeps it toasty warm at night and has a timer setting so no worrying about if you left it on or not.

love this fan because I finally don't have to clean fan blades! Its just about as loud as a normal box fan at settings 6 through 10 on cool mode.

I left this fan in an enclosed room for 5 hours with the fan speed on 10 and in cool mode and when i walked into the room from outside of it there was no temperature difference at all! Also the fan speed on 10 (highest setting) is really loud and if the fan is on wide mode you cant feel it past 5 feet, also there is no thermostat for cooling mode. If you plan on getting this for cooling don"t waist your money

I used it for the past 2 month every day. I love this heater well worth the money
