That was the bad, the good is it has a remote for operating, it has an auto shut feature and overall it's mostly a quiet operating fan

She lives in a 100 year old cottage, built long before modern insulation. As such, the Dyson AM09 manages to keep her small home heated - she is very pleased! She keeps it in the small front room where she mostly stays. Turns it off at bed time, then back on in the morning. 2 minutes after turning it on she can feel the room warming up. The best heater available, according to her.

One for me, one for my parents. It does an excellent job of cooling the rooms I put them in. And it heats those rooms up quicker than I would have expected when I need heat. The only drawback of the white/silver model is the glossy finish makes the unit look cheap overall. All of the other models have a matte finish.

The fan functionality is okay, but it is no where near as good as a dedicated fan. The heater on the other hand works great and heats up a small room no problem. The problem is this is an extremely expensive heater that works as well as a $75 heater. It is not worth the money. I bought and kept the dyson, because I live in a small apartment and like the fan/heater ability that allows me to save on space and it is also nice looking, so it goes well with my contemporary furniture style.
