The fans quieter but when it's turned all the way up to 10 it makes just enough noise for people who need that to sleep.

Nice rotating fan

It is quiet and you can set the rotation to half way or all the way around. You can also adjust how much air will flow out.

Well packaged, solidly made, with large filters and a compact footprint. We got it on sale, which made it a better deal, but still not inexpensive. I've not yet had a situation that would test the limits of of the filtering, but the filters themselves are large with good surface area. And the air quality gauge on the front is nice and, so far, shows a flat green line at the bottom of the scale. Cons: The fan air flow is weak and the Dyson is much noisier running at full speed than the ordinary pedestal fan the Dyson was bought to replace. The fan is quieter and blows more air, even running at its lowest speed. We bought this to have both air-filtering and a fan, but we've not yet decided if it will do what we need, fan wise, or if we need to return it and buy an air filter only (which can be found much cheaper...) and use it in combination with the ordinary fan.
