Heat is good. Cool is just a fan and a bit loud. Overall not bad with wifi connection

If your home cooking includes any kind of searing, this air purifier is for you! During the cold winter months when opening a window is not an option, having this Dyson air purifier is the next best thing in ensuring your air quality and food smells doesn’t linger long after a cook. My smoke detector now rarely gets tripped when I’m searing my steaks after having this Dyson air purifier. That’s quite an accomplishment. Pros: • Auto mode allows to set it and forget it • Feature heavy and data for analytics rejoice • Easy phone app integration • Can flip between front blowing to top blowing • Alexa compatible…but why? Cons: • Too short and needs to be placed on a counter or table top • A bit noisy at fastest fan setting • Bit more money compared to competition • A bit of an eye sore. My house is not as contemporary as Mr Dyson designed it for. I do a lot of cooking that includes frying bacon and searing steaks on a hot cast iron skillet. All things that would have smells that lingers for days. The Dyson air purifier exceeded all my expectations and never knew an air purifier can measure air quality with such granularity. My other purifier only shows one number for air quality at 2.5 microns. Dyson has air quality numbers for 2.5 microns and 10 microns. And also show ranges for VOC and Nitrogen dioxide. Initial setup was super easy. The Dyson requires wifi for your phone app to work. The app is very robust and does 90% of what the physical remote can do. (Apparently it’s against regulations to be able to adjust heating temps via the app.) The filters are $79 for both the HEPA and carbon filter and im not 100% sure what the average lifespan is. Most other purifiers recommend replacing twice a year so this Dyson will be about $160 a year if that holds true. The purifier does have a graph that shows the “life left” of the filter and I’m sure it’s based on the amount of hours used and fan speed. YMMV Numbers nerd section: I do recommend this air purifier for folks who love data rich analytics. The app will show you a graph over time with total amounts of “purifying time”. I averaged 3.8 hours a day with 6 out of 7 days of cooking dinner at home. If I continued to use 3.8 hours of level 10 fan speed a day and the rest at normal fan speed, energy cost for me at .12cents a kwh would be would be $5.51 a year. Not too shabby for purified air! These numbers will drastically change if you use the heat feature. With the heat on at fan level 10 and oscillation uses 1434 watts. The heat feature is a nice added bonus but its first an air purifier, then a heater. Summary: I’m glad I got this unit as its by far the most advanced air purifier in the market. Set it and forget it with the auto modes. While it’s a bit pricey, what’s the price of knowing your family will breath in unpolluted air? Priceless.

Yes it’s pretty ducking great. Crazy expensive but great! I want more. It’s super fragile. Breaks easy. But quiet and super effective heat fan and air filter. We got lots of dyson this Xmas. Hair dryer, vacuum and this fan heater air filter. All super products.

This Dyson product started making weird noises after running for awhile.Definitely a defect or design issue since the motor and fan is making noises. If it’s due to slider, it should be sophisticated enough to cleanse itself by purging high speed air into those areas of concern, then again I have a fan that’s over 30 years old and is completely silent.

Bought this product as deal of the day it was a 100 dollars off. Love how it works compared to the older ones. See my review on the White Silver style.

So excited to finally get this but was very disappointed when it would not work. After turning it on, I received an exclamation mark surrounded by a triangle error. I reached out to Dyson and they want me to take it to one of their service centers. For the price I paid, this is ridiculous.

I really needed this for my master bedroom, because it gets really cool at night. There heating is perfect, and in the summer this will save on air as well. My home is connected, so this works nicely with my home security which is Alexa enabled too. Voice commands are simple, and controlling it is too. The included remote is easy to understand. It's nice and quiet compared to the other fan I was using, amazing product. But like most things, there had to be at least one con. For this one, it's the price. Dyson is a big brand, and do offer 2 year warranty. But I think some might not be too quick to kick out the cash. But, it's so nice, you might want to give it a shot. Once you get it, you'll be happy.

Pay $600 for a fan, a week after you can return it, it states throwing some error code, which makes it a huge paper weight. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS.

I bought this to provide clean air and a heating and cool option. So far I have been very impressed. For me the best part is the Dyson Link app. It gives me better control then the traditional remote. I like the real time air quality data so I know what I am breathing in. It was easy to unbox and set up. It took me no more then five minutes. The AI voice control works very smooth. I am using it with my Google home devices. This is by far the best Dyson product I have bought from Best Buy in a long time. It adds style to any room in your house. I bought it knowing this in the long run will pay for itself when it comes to less sinus issues, and higher quality air.
