Shortly after using I noticed it was making a high pitched whistling noise. The noise became more distinct and annoying over the next couple of months. To the point where I need to turn the machine off because it is bothering me and my clients. (I use this unit in the waiting room at my office.) After trying the troubleshooting steps I found online, which tells me this is a common issue, the unit is still making the noise. Contacted Dyson to inform and they basically made me jump through hoops. Provided them with the serial number, then they wanted me to send a copy of the receipt, etc.. Seven emails later they then asked "I'm not sure what you want us to do?", Then they sent me an email with the troubleshooting step that I had already tried. Extremely poor and disappointing customer service! It's not the money Dyson, IT'S THE $650!!!

We would not expect there to be any type of noise, outside of the normal sound of airflow, as the speed is adjusted on the machine.
