Great Purifier and Heater/Fan

The machine automatically determines “bad air” and adjusts itself to help clean the air. The heater and fan work really well as heating or cooling a small to medium sized room. You can control the device with the included remote or from a smart device. Be aware that you are unable to to turn the heater function on from a smart phone due to safety concerns.

Disappointing

Given the price point, I would have expected a much higher level of performance. The unit is loud and not at all discreet. I read reviews that claimed it was silent but that was nit my experience at all. Best Buy did not provide the quality of customer service I expect from a large and reputable retailer.

Not worth the cost

Posted .Hi Mac, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you found that the heat function on the Dyson HP04 Pure Hot + Cool didn't work correctly. I can confirm that on this machine, the heat function is disabled in the App. We at Dyson take safety very seriously when developing new technology for our customers, and we want to ensure that safeguards are built into our products to minimize hazards and risk to our customers. Since the control of products over the internet is still new technology to regulators, in the US now, products contain more stringent requirements until a better understanding of all risks is understood. This is why the heating and temperature controls have been disabled via the Dyson Link app, at this time. We are certainly sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused for you. The heating, as well as all other functions can still be carried out via remote control.

Absolutely love it!

I purchased this Dyson for two main reasons: the rental I was living in didn’t have a heater and during the California fires the air quality was terrible and I felt it affecting the inside of the home. After purchasing my Dyson I noticed a few major changes: No more musty bedroom, no more lingering odors from the kitchen, bathrooms, etc., and finally, my bedroom is always nice and toasty during the winter. The My Dyson app is also super helpful for scheduling your machine, turning it on/off, customizing settings, and viewing the real time air quality. If you spray perfume or cleaning products near it in auto mode, it detects it right away and adjusts the air cleaning speed until the quality returns to the optimal level. Overall one of my favorite tech purchases ever!

Does it’s job

Maybe I just got a bad one, but for the money I paid for this fan, you’d think quality control would be better.

I Sleep and Breathe Better Now

At the price point it is listed it is a heafty price to pay but now I understand why. When I set up this purifier I put in all the filters and plugged in in an immediately could smell the purity in the air. This dyson product never quits. It montiors your air status and will gradually have it lower because of the amount of purification it is doing in the room. I set it and forget it for about 2 hours in my bedroom and I came back to clean air I never knew existed. The smart features on it work really well, however, due to Federal Regulations/State Regulations certain features must be controlled by the IR remote and not smart app. If you have someone with allergies or other breathing conditions I highly suggest this device to clean your air and make your life more enjoyable.

Fan does its job.

The amount of dust that is present in the air where I live is non-stop and it has stood up to the task of keeping the room it’s in as clean as possible. The price is a bit steep but overall it’s a great product!

Hot and Cold in One
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The main attraction to this Dyson - HP04 Pure Hot + Cool was that it does both hot and cold. I have a room that is always hot, summer or winter. it will be used in there for some extra air during the hotter weather. The family room is always cold during the winter. So right now this is in there helping warm it up. The setup was easy. Download the app and connect and set it up. Changing settings is also easy through the app and even easier on the remote. The distance that it warms/cools is great and you can oscillate from 45 degrees to 350. That might seem like overkill, but I've been using the 45 degree to get in between a small opening and it's great. Once it moves to the room for the hotter weather I'll be using 90 degree to get the whole room. One thing that I've been impressed with is how it blows out hot air but the unit itself is not hot to the touch. It's not even warm to the touch. That was a worry since I have smaller kids. It's also very quiet. I forgot that it's there. I would highly recommend this unit.

New look and better performance

When I saw Dyson updated it for 2019, I decided to give it a try it as I was needing an additional unit for another part of my home. First thing I noticed is that this updated model is a bit larger and heavier than the previous model. I like that the air loop is larger so more air can be projected. I was hoping they would improve that and so far, it appears they have. There's the small screen on the from that lets you know all kinds of air quality stats but I mainly use it for the basic stuff...knowing the current room temperature or what I want to set the temperature of the unit to. The rest is really not that important to me as I trust it to do it's job and clean the air. I like the 2 part filter in this new unit as it's easier to install that the previous model. Set up and connecting to the Dyson app was WAY quicker for me than before and I appreciate that. Thanks Dyson. One thing to note: the app doesn't allow temperature control based on some new safety regulations. You need the remote for that, so don't lose it! The unit runs quietly and the airflow is much better than before...feels more powerful this time around. Overall, I'm super happy with it and love the updated look. It's a bit costly but so far, well worth it.

Dyson Pure Hot + Cool units will also offer the option to divert air through the rear annular at a 45˚ angle, creating a more diffused airflow. Also, thanks to the 350 degree oscillation, Dyson Pure Hot + Cool purifying fans can be used to help project purified air around the whole room and may be used to deliver heated and purified air to every corner of the room. Airflow angles can also be customized using the remote control or Dyson Link app. You will also have the option of a Night mode which will use the machines quieter settings, reducing airflow speeds to range from 1 to 4. Night mode will also dim the display and the machine will run more quietly, making it ideal for use while sleeping. I'm also happy to share that you may customize Night mode settings in the Dyson Link App.

Do not purchase. Defect after 7 days

I had this product for one week and had to turn it over to dyson service center due to constant whistling/ high pitch noise. This is not a review of Best Buy, but overall dissatisfaction with dyson. Dyson customer service is horrible also. My product has been in the service center for over a month and I had the product prior to service for only 7 days.

3 units defective, gave up.

Returned. 2nd unit out of the box stuck on the LED warning light, called Dyson tech, advised to return. 3rd unit the fan made a noise out of the box, turned 1/2 turn, locked up, same warning light on the screen as unit 2. Returned 3rd unit. For this much money they are junk, stay away. I do have a Dyson unit without the heater TP04 at the office that works just fine, but the HP04 with heater has problems.

Annoying high pitch noise.

One for my home office and one for the living room. After about a month both units developed a high pitch whirl sound. I contacted customer support at Dyson but unfortunately they were little help. If you are hard of hearing this product will work for you. If high pitched noise bothers you. Don’t Buy It!! I do not recommend this product.

Waist of money.

Then it stopped working. We did follow all of the instructions on how to cleanse and repair the machine; however, nothing works. Then we read the reviews on Dyson's website on this product, and it appears it is a common issue with this particular model.

Your Dyson Pure Hot + Cool will feature two airflow modes, a fan mode and a backward airflow mode for cooling and heating, as well as purifying both in winter and summer. These two modes, along with the airflow setting ranging from 1 - 10, and an adjustable oscillation angle from 45 degrees to 350 degrees, helps project purified air around the whole room. I'm sorry to hear that you've encountered a lack of airflow from your machine. Purify yourself
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Forget heating or cooking or filtration, this is an “air” system Dyson, known for their quality and customer service, has done it again with this machine. I’ve been using it for quite a while and can comfortably give it a stamp of approval The box opens with typical stuff: manuals, safety, and warranty information, alongside plenty of packing to ensure you’re unboxing something special. The system itself is a little heavy and probably about 3 feet high. It has a base, where all the wires, motors, power button, and filtration system sit. Attached above the base is the blade-less fan. Atop the fan, you can attach a magnetic, curved remote: a genius idea that blends in seamlessly and ensures it’s hard to lose but easy to grab when you want to control the system from a distance The system comes mostly assembled, you just have to attach the filter which takes about two minutes and then you’re up and running. It features both heating and cooling with 360 degree rotation that can either pull or push air. I’ve been using it in the master bedroom and have had no issue at all with it hearing or cooling the entire room. The system also has a night setting where you can have it run quieter while you sleep, with an attached timer so you don’t have to leave it on all night. I’d have to point out my favorite feature, which is the Dyson mobile App. Takes about two minutes to setup and now you’ve got a remote control on your phone. You can power on the system if you’re away and want to come home to a cool home. You can get real time updates on the pollens/debris that the filtration system is catching, change rotation patterns, adjust the fan and temperature all from a distance. The only thing you’re unable to do is turn the heat on from the app. Either way, it’s a well made, beautiful, full air system that both heats and cools while ensuring you’ve got clean air. Definitely check this out
