I knew I needed to do something before summertime and this is so far the solution. It will really cool down an entire room and doesn’t blow a strong airflow directly at you. I hate that feeling and would not be able to sleep. I also like how I can program it or turn it off with the remote when it gets too cold. Worth the money.

Hopefully one day soon they will get their apps to run on 5ghz

While I can confirm that while setting up your machine initially, you would need to use a 2.4ghz network connection, once connected, you can revert back to a 5ghz network if that's what your home router network is typically set to. The 2.4ghz requirement is only for the initial setup. You shouldn't experience any issues after the initial connection, and can then utilize both the remote control and Dyson Link App to control your machine. The fan is fairly quiet on speed setting 6, and it allows a deep sleep with a small amount of "white noice." Settings 7-10 are a little louder and don't allow for a great slumber. Overall, great product, and I would purchase again!
