It's all plastic and came scratched up. I bought it at $299 and it still felt like a waste of money. Instead of keeping it I bought a vornado tower fan which blows air much cooler then this and a decent $120 air purifier from honeywell and still saved money and felt like I got better results then this overpriced piece of G......

I am happy to inform you that Dyson Pure Cool Link will offer the most airflow out of this line of Dyson purifier machines, as it is our tower fan and features the largest amplifier loop of the available models. I'm also happy to share that Dyson Pure Cool Link does offer a Night-time mode. In this setting, your machine will monitor and purify using the quiet settings, and with a dimmed display. This mode is perfect for night time use as well as while relaxing.

Not the quality I expected

However, once you unpack it you realize most of the components are plastic. This isn’t necessarily a deal breaker until you turn the unit on recognize a faint low level noise at speeds 4 and up. It’s almost as if the bearings for the plastic propeller is also riding on plastic bearings. My daughter loved the fan so we kept it, but I’m not optimistic about the lifespan.

The purifier is acoustically designed to be quiet, with streamlined air channels for reduced airflow turbulence. It has been engineered to have a high sound quality that produces a comfortable tone of sound for the human ear without a compromise of performance. At minimum setting, the noise is almost inaudible to the human ear.

Nice product with connectivity problems.

However, with an IPhone it is difficult to get the app to work as the purifier connects to the WiFi using 2.4ghz. IPhones don’t allow you to switch to 2.4ghz, always connecting to the best available which in most cases is 5ghz. As of yet I have been unable to sync the purifier to the app on my phone to determine if the purifier is actually making a difference.
