After 6 months all it did was make a lot of noise. Didn't do a good job cleaning up the air in the house. For the money you spend on this, you would think it was have better quality. I will never buy another one. In fact I won't buy any Dyson products. Owned two vacuum cleaners and they are both broke.

Quiet, seems to be purifying, but not the coolest

The moment I turned it on, that excitement went from 100 to -50. I can feel the breeze if I had the setting to a noisy 10 and I am probably 3 feet away. Auto reverted the setting to a quiet 4 and it behaves no different than a regular air purifier that is more than 50% cheaper. Sure it has its own phone app that you can see the AQI, but why bother when you can run for the entire day a regular air purifier that does not require changing the HEPA filter. Why would you want it? As an aesthetic piece of furniture as a talking point, expensive piece of tech though.

The Dyson Pure Cool Link features a HEPA filter to remove 99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns, including pollen, dust, mold spores, bacteria and pet dander. The second layer in the filter contains activated carbon to capture household odors and volatile organic compounds like paint fumes. The machine also features a sleep timer, oscillation and 10 air speed settings.
Our purifiers & fans do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces surrounding air to be drawn into the airflow, resulting in a powerful stream of smooth cooling air.

I am happy to inform you that Dyson Pure Cool Link will offer the most airflow out of this line of Dyson purifier machines, as it is our tower fan and features the largest amplifier loop of the available models. I'm also happy to share that Dyson Pure Cool Link does offer a Night-time mode. In this setting, your machine will monitor and purify using the quiet settings, and with a dimmed display. This mode is perfect for night time use as well as while relaxing. That being said, while I'm happy to hear you are finding your machine to be whisper quiet in settings 1-5, we would value the opportunity to learn more about your experience with your machine in the higher settings that you are describing here. Keep in mind that the purifier is designed to clear the air, which includes dust particles in the air and not dust that is accumulated on furniture, etc. You can also interact with the purifier using a smartphone with the Dyson Link app and check the air quality both in and outside the home and get air cleaning reports.

Poor quality control

Barely any airflow. After a while on hold, I got to speak to someone at dyson. He said try removing the filter. SMH. Bum filter? They said they would expedite me getting a new filter — 4-5 business days. That had to be a joke. Even without the filter, the fan function is a bare whisper. Save your money. I’m going back to Honeywell Products. This is infuriating as it was a medically necessary purchase, not my new job.

One for my office and one for my bedroom, I love the Nickel color. You can control them with the remote, the App on your phone and Alexa. On lower speeds they make very little noise, on the higher speeds they make a nice amount of White Noise to help me fall asleep. The App gives you a lot of information on air quality both inside and outside. The App also tell you how much life is left on the filter. Very happy with the purchase

The technology involved in the Dyson purifier fans is slightly different to our previous fans. While the purifier fan uses the same patented Air Multiplier™ technology, the 360° glass HEPA filter is unique to this product. The filter is tightly woven to ensure allergens and pollutants are removed from the home. This means that the airflow exiting the aperture is slightly reduced from our previous tower fans, as the filter adds a small restriction to this. Therefore, you are not just getting cool air, but cool clean air.

The fix was to shut off all my WiFi items in my house so my phone would pick up this signal. My phone picked it up right away. Not the problem. Won’t buy anything but a vacuum from dyson anymore because they really $uck.

The Dyson Pure Cool Link and Pure Hot + Cool purifier fan will clean the air in any size room. The bigger the room, the longer the machine will take to purify it as there is more air in the atmosphere. For instance in a room of 139ft², the machine will purify the room in 25 min. The larger the room, the longer it can take to purify the air completely. Other factors, such as outside air quality can also affect purification times. We do also recommend a 6-day period to allow the machine to fully calibrate to your home environment, as outlined in the user guide. During this period, the machine may be more sensitive to VOC's than normal. While I understand you've since returned your purchase, we'd value the opportunity to learn more regarding your experience, as we're dedicated to customer satisfaction.
