The machine/function itself does what it advertises. I'm just a little frustrated that the app/Alexa function is unreliable. The machine sometimes disconnects from Alexa (but does not disconnect from the Dyson app). I'm computer savvy and made multiple adjustments, and the only thing that fixes the issue is I completely remove the Alexa skill/applet, and reinstall it, then it works. Also you can review the comments on the software/app, it's just a poorly controlled / Q&A app, very unnatural interface, very uncustomizable. Whoever led that part of the development should be replaced. There's so many negative reviews/comments about the Alexa interface. Bottom line - machine works great. Alexa function is spotty, but when it does work it's great. The good news is it's software, usually that can be improved on overtime.

Wanted a Dyson Air Multiplier (fancy word for fan) for awhile. This had an air purifier, which my allergy and former-asthma suffering self could use (and justify to the wife), so I bought it as soon as I was able to get 10% off at Best Buy. Started off great, then I got the app, then I learned about my air quality, and how it improves if I open the window from time to time, leave the fan on, and vacuum often. Then it starts judging, reminding me that when air quality deteriorates that I need to vacuum. Basically it made me cave and buy a robotic vacuum from Dyson. Because I'm lazy, but somehow the app made me care more about this one deficiency on my part. Anyway, no question this is a top notch product. Just prepare for your new app based robotic assistants to disapprove of your lifestyle choices despite your noblest intentions. I tried throwing money at the problem. We'll see if that's enough.

This thing is truly amazing. To test it out, I kept it in auto mode all day while at work. When I came home the fan was off because the air was COMPLETELY clean after going on and off as required in the empty house. I took a can of my girlfriend's hairspray and put two quick puffs into the air. Not more than five seconds later, the fan turned on at speed level 10 as if it were the end of the world and poison was in my house. After a few minutes it gradually worked its way down in speed until the air was completely clean. For it to sense the small amount of hairspray and react with a fan speed level 10, you can have some serious piece of mind knowing that your air quality is as clean as the French Alps when the fan is off or at speed level 1 most of the day. In addition to this, when I opened the app it showed a major spike in the air quality at the exact time that I sprayed the hairspray. If you have allergies, you need this product!!! Another perfect example of Dyson engineering.

Excellent fan!!! Love the fact that you can power it on before you arrive to your house via the Dyson app. So when you get home your room is nice and cool! Bonus the air will also be purified!!! So glad Dyson came out with a product like this. Also it took them over 100 different designs to make this work so you know it will work flawlessly!!!

This was a great fan. It has finally came to the end of its product life after six years.

Honestly is this was more of an indulgent purchase I never thought I would be owning a $600.after using it for a couple of months I can honestly say it wasn't worth the choice and I'm happy with my purchase.

This an expensive product for virtually a fan. It looks cool though. So if you want to spend money purely based on looks then this is what you want.

Dyson continues to innovate and excel. This is a great fan with great cooling breeze power and very quiet compared to regular fans.

I have had mine over a year. Set up can be troublesome. Dyson support was excellent. It will detect cooking odors immediately, and the fan speed increases. Live in a condo, neighbor across the hall cooks often. The Dyson instantly detects the odor, cycles on, and eliminates the odor. Only problem, we lost the tiny remote. Bummer. Still works fine automatically.

I have seasonal allergies and sleep in a small bedroom with poor ventilation so a dual purpose fan/air purifier was exactly what i needed. On cool days i tend to set it on level 1 or Auto and let it "do its thing". On hot days I crank it up to 10 and enjoy the uninterrupted flow of its blade-less air multiplier. While i cannot fault the machine's build or purification abilities the Dyson App has a tendency to crash on my mobile devices. It happens mostly when I attempt to go into the "settings section". Just a minor annoyance.

Worth the price. App controlled is great. Very quiet.

I bought this product for 399. If this air purifier is not with cool fan and product by Dyson. I will return it, because I didn't get difference air quality between before I got this air purifier and now. but mobile app and remote is useful. If you really need air purifier, than get the Blueair,or if you want really nice cool fan than get product!

Love it! Works great. Well made. Only issue I have is with the app. I continue to tell me my wifi has weak security and I need to reconfigure. Not happening.

If you live in Las Vegas, I recommend avoiding Dyson products. I bought two of these purifiers. One broke within 10 months so naturally I called up Dyson to get it fixed considering these things are $500 a pop and it shouldn't be an issue to fix something not only this expensive, but bares the "Dyson" name also, right?. Nope. They do not have a Dyson Repair Center here in Las Vegas - one of the hottest places on earth. Kinda absurd when you think about it. I was basically told two things. 1) I could call around locally to different repair shops to see if they would even touch it. I wouldn't even know where to start or who to call in this situation. Or 2) I could ship the fan out of my own pocket to a Dyson repair center someplace out of state and wait for however long that takes to get it repaired and sent back. I imagine that would cost around $20-$30 and then I would have to mess around with finding a large enough box to fit it in while making sure it was secure and didn't roll around. It's just a huge inconvenience. I'm at a loss and feel like I'm not being taken care of at all considering when you read the fine print there is a two year warranty on these. I feel this unacceptable. I'm a disabled Veteran and issues like this are difficult to handle in my situation. I won't be buying Dyson products ever again and encourage others within Las Vegas to do the same if you value your sanity, time, and money.

So for really like this pure cool, sleeping throughout the night without waking up with a stuffy noise.

The product overall is ok. It seems to understand when the air is dirty and turns on. However, it does not move a lot of air and when it does on the highest setting, it is loud. It did not reduce the amount of dust in the room it was in and with having carpet, it would make sense that it would. Overall i think the air intake needs to be bigger and after a week of using the product I am going to take it back. The price does not seem to be worth it. I do however own a Dyson vacuum and love it. I was hoping this would be the same.
