Does not eliminate smells in a small home workout room/man cave very well, if at all. Must run fan to purify air and the fan is not quiet.

I can confirm you do need to have the fan on in order to purify the air. Unfortunately, when the machine is turned off, there is no way to move the air through the filtration system. nice but not as good as my other dyson air filters

Remotes get lost so this is a negative. The base is not as large as some of my other dyson air filters so it can tip over

Posted .Hello Sholt, this is Kelly with Dyson. Your Dyson Pure Cool™ TP01 does have a magnetized remote control, which will attach to the very top of the loop of your machine. The magnet isn't super strong, so you do need to ensure it's placed right in the top of the loop. We wouldn't expect to hear that it tips over easily. I love Dyson but this fan was beyond underwhelming

This fan didn’t perform as well as other fans I have purchased in the past that cost 20% of the price of this fan.

The machine also features a sleep timer, oscillation and 10 air speed settings.

Our Purifiers & fans do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces surrounding air to be drawn into the airflow, resulting in a powerful stream of smooth cooling air.

It’s great to purify the air when you are not home but next time I’d just get separate air purifier and separate fan.

Not worth the price

The name is a little misleading because it is called a cooling fan so I thought the air it put out would be a little cooler. Feels the same as a regular fan. Maybe worth it if you have allergies.

Great filter, but fan is meh.

Might want to check out other Dyson fans though. Saw a smaller one in display that was new and powerful, but more $$$.

I'm sorry to hear that you've encountered a lack of airflow from your machine. We can confirm there is no carrying handle on this device, and when moving from room to room or other locations, it is suggested to grasp the machine by the base, rather than from the loop which can cause damage to the machine.
