So excited to use it because I had a 3 year old and a 9 months. They always stick little toys on our old traditional fans. After 1 week of using this, the option to face left and right system stopped working. It would random stop and start again. Sometimes it will just go halfway instead of the full 180 turn. Maybe I just got a bad item. I’ll return and exchange for a different fan. Be careful buying this.

The Dyson Pure Cool features a HEPA filter to remove 99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns, including pollen, dust, mold spores, bacteria and pet dander. The second layer in the filter contains activated carbon to capture household odors and volatile organic compounds like paint fumes. The machine also features a sleep timer, oscillation and 10 air speed settings. It's unusual to hear that after just a week of use, the oscillation stopped working properly. The noise you have reported does not appear as though your unit was performing as intended. TP01 was designed to reduce the noise and power consumption without compromising on the performance of our powerful air multiplier line - resulting in our quietest fans – up to 75% quieter than the original Air Multiplier fan. It is also recognized by the Noise Abatement Society and awarded the Quiet Mark.

Unlike air conditioning units, that refrigerate the air that comes out, the Dyson TP01 purifying fan cools you by moving the air over and around you. As well, the added benefit is the air it projects is cleaner than what it intakes, ridding the air of 99.7% of impurities, such as odors, bacteria, and mold spores, to name a few.

seriously flawed overpriced fan

The CFM/Airflow is weak at best, meaning that you need to crank this thing to the highest level to have a small breeze 3 feet away, meaning it's noisy (like a jet engine at take off), meaning you can't sleep with this thing on.... I used it one night, to bring some airflow to a bedroom that is already cooled by a strong AC system. It failed miserably and will be returned to best buy today.

Our Purifiers & fans do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces surrounding air to be drawn into the airflow, resulting in a powerful stream of smooth cooling air.

I'm happy to inform you that Dyson Pure Cool is our tower purifying fan, which is actually the most powerful model we offer in terms of airflow that is output by the machine. Dyson purifying fans feature a 360 degree HEPA filter which is designed to draw in air from all around the machine. As a result, Dyson Pure Cool can be used to purify the air in a room of any size. The bigger the room, the longer the unit will essentially take to purify. The filter included in the machine has been engineered to automatically remove 99.97% of pollutants and allergens as small as 0.3 microns. This will include things like mold, bacteria, odors, pollen, pet dander and potentially harmful ultrafine particles.

It barely releases any cool air at all, while it is super quiet, it almost feels like it is not working. I spent a lot of money and have had significantly better results with fans $200 cheaper.
