I assume it is, but I just can’t tell a difference. But I like it as a fan. I am disappointed that after a couple weeks it isn’t silent anymore while rotating. Now it creaks a bit. It would only be a problem if I was trying to sleep but this one stays in the living room so I don’t really care.

The plastic seems a bit cheap though and well, for the price, I was hoping it would blow more air than it does. I have to get it to around level 6 or 7 to really make it effective. Nice design though. Having a remote is nice. Not sure if mine is defective though. I have to press super hard on the buttons to make it work.

Dyson Pure Cool TP01 features a HEPA filter to remove 99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns, including pollen, dust, mold spores, bacteria and pet dander. The second layer in the filter contains activated carbon to capture household odors and volatile organic compounds like paint fumes. Our Purifiers & fans do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces surrounding air to be drawn into the airflow, resulting in a powerful stream of smooth cooling air.
