    After doing some research online for a room fan, we decided to get this one. For the price, we expected a quiet fan. Knowing it won't be too powerful but expected some cooling with its technology. It wasn't quiet and did not cool the room. We were disappointed to say the least.

The Pure Hot + Cool will create some noise as the air leaves the fan. However, it should be so high as to be disturbing. At the max level, the sound level is 63 dBa.

      The Pure Hot + Cool is not designed to change the temperature of the room when used as a fan. Rather the fan cools a person by moving air over and around them.

    I bought this thinking it would provide gentle heat in a small area. I liked the fact that it rotates. It provided almost no heat so I returned it. When I did the salesperson said "No, this is just an air purifier."

      Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the Dyson Pure Hot + Cool Link air purifier. This machine is definitely more than just an air purifier. The Pure Hot + Cool uses intelligent monitoring to report indoor and outdoor air quality, in real time, via the Dyson Link App. This purifier features both a heating and cooling option for year-round functionality. The filtration automatically removes 99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns, and a layer of activated carbon captures odors and potentially harmful VOC's such as paint fumes.

      We can confirm, when used in heat mode, the temperature on the unit will need to be set higher than the current room temperature, in order to expel heated air. When the target room temperature is reached, the machine will go in to standby mode, and remain idle until the room temperature falls below target, at which point the machine will again expel heated air.

    What a nightmare!

    after purchasing similar Dyson fans previously (TP01 and a HP02) I wanted to add a third to our home. I do enjoy what the fans do and how we feel with them in our home. The issue is not the fan so much as the customer service. All three of these fans have had issues connecting to wifi and the app. I was able with some help from Dyson Advanced Tech to get the previous two connected. This one I could not get to work After two weeks of patiently trying I decided to write Dyson a letter and let them know the system is broken. Thweir response - started the whole process over again leading to my further frustration. Further I discovered that there is only 1 person at Dyson available to assist with connection issues. One person. No wonder it took weeks to resolve. The fans work great - just not with the app and on wifi. I paid for premium product and received bargain service. I will think twice before purchasing anything further from Dyson.

    Good product but still room for improvement

    I really like this three in one purifier. I’ve only really used the heating function. I love the fact that I can control this device remotely and set schedules. I did notice that the heat isn’t as warm as I thought it would be.

    warm in winter and cool in summer

    I like it, it keeps me warm in winter and cool in summer. My only issue is that only connects to 2.4GHZ so I can't connect it to my wifi or to my phone

    Product works ok. Had to call Dyson customer service to connect machine to my network...it took 3 weeks for them to call me back!!!!!!!!!!!! All in all, no more Dyson products for me.

    Has great features and functions! Help maintain room temputure and putrid air. However, it seems to consume a little more electricity than my apartment’s built-in AC/heating unit.

    Not worth the price

    I was excited to get this product. After using it for the past month, I can honestly say I am highly disappointed in this item. The biggest issue I see is that a lot of the air that actually comes out of the unit has NEVER been filtered. The Dyson technology on this machine creates additional air movement due to the air multiplier feature. Most of the air that is exhausted just gets pulled through the exhaust hoop without ever being filtered. This product pretty much takes all of the pollutants in the air and fires them at high velocity directly at your face. This thing is a joke as an air purifier. $600 for a fan or a heater is also a joke.

Some other purifier heaters can have a higher face velocity. Face velocity is related to the volume of air passing through the filter every second.This means that some other purifier heaters force air through their filters, which can cause some allergens and pollutants to escape back into the room. The Dyson Pure Hot + Cool Link™ purifier heater has a lower face velocity. Combined with a high-efficiency HEPA filter, this means that up to 99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns stay trapped in the filter media.

    Got this really for the air filter function. I am not sure if its working for this reason. Keeping it for the heater function. Small but has lots of juice.

    Malfunction Right Out if Box

    Received and plugged in next day. Error on machine, fault showing in app. Troubleshooting with Dyson don’t resolve and their only solution was for us to drive 1.5 hours round trip to service center and a ‘sorry for your experience’. Returning for refund.

    Bills itself as a heater/cooler and an air purifier. I'm sure it works as a purifier but, it doesn't do much as a heater/cooler.
