Plagued with issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Please do not buy a Dyson fan, as they're prone to breaking down. I purchased my Dyson in 2018, and after a year, it stopped blowing hot air and throwing an error code of "E." The Dyson Tech Support and I went step by step to resolve the issue to no end. Luckily, the Dyson Fan was under warranty, and they RMA'd the unit. Just forward another year, and the replacement Dyson breaks down just like that last one, but this time, it's not covered by the warranty because the warranty started when I purchased it. I guess it makes some sense; however, shouldn't the replacement Dyson have a two-year warranty from the date I received it? Not according to Dyson. What good is a warranty if the product only lasts a year? I was informed I could get a discount on another Dyson Fan, but who does that knowing that it'll break in a year, get swapped out, and then you're SOL.

I would give 4 stars if it was 40$
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Definitely does not worth the price tag, It has the same functionality a 40-50$ fan has, purifier is fine but still does not explain the price tag, bought a Hamilton Beach True Air for 30$ from Walmart which was way smaller and did the same thing and was way quieter.

Posted .Hello Meduza, this is Kelly with Dyson. Dyson Pure Hot + Cool Link works with a thermostat while in the heater mode to read room temperature and save energy. This also helps it to hold room temperature, while heating, to the heat setting that you would like to keep in your room. When setting the temperature, Dyson Pure Hot + Cool Link will heat until the set temperature has been reached. During this time, you will have full control of the airflow, oscillation, etc.
In heating mode, once the set temperature has been reached, your machine will go into a standby mode. This still does allow air to pass through it as it measures the room temperature. If it notices a drop in temperature, it will turn back on to heat the room up to the desired set temp once again. In the fan setting, Dyson Pure Hot + Cool Link will purify continuously at the set fan speed until the unit is shut off.
In terms of noise, Dyson’s latest Air Multiplier™ technology is recognised by the Noise Abatement Society and awarded the Quiet Mark. The Quiet Mark draws attention to the complex nature of sound. It tends to be the case that types of noise are offensive to the ear rather than overall volume. Extremely disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very excited for this product to arrive. The intention was to put it in my son's room to heat/cool. In all fairness, the heater did seem to work just fine. The 'cool' fan performance was extremely weak. I was sweating while this was on and it was at maximum capacity running. Further, it was significantly louder than a regular fan. My $30 fan I already had did a lot better job cooling the room with less noise. I am extremely disappointed that DYSON would sell this product. I have already returned this item because it is a piece of crap. $500 for a product that does not work does not make much sense, especially when you can spend hundreds less for something that works much better. Shame on you DYSON. I am surprised there are so many 5 stars on this product. Were these buyers verified? Peculiar!

I am pleased to advise the Dyson fans are engineered to be quieter and more energy efficient than your average fan. The Pure Hot + Cool is a fan and is not designed to change the temperature, rather it cools a person by moving air over and around them.

Cool air not cool

Our line of air purifiers, unlike an AC unit that's designed to chill the air, consists of blade-less fans. The air temperature does not change. Instead, it's the air flow that cools you through a powerful breeze or wind like effect, thanks to Dyson Air Multiplier™ technology. Each of the machines will have the option of increasing the speed of the air expelled from the unit, which is adjusted with the remote control. You'll also have the ability to control your machine remotely via the Dyson Link app with our connected models. Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool Link™ HP02 will also include a heater to keep you warm in winter months. The thermostat onboard your machine will be primarily used for the heater setting. To ensure your unit is set to the cool mode, you'll want to ensure that a blue light is showing around your power button. This can typically be achieved by using the cool mode button on the remote, within the Dyson link app, or ensuring your machine is said to 32°. Awful user experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Incredible disappointment in the product and time consumed trying to setup / use the app. This is easy when dealing with every other IoT/app managed product in the world but somehow Dyson made it complex or a $600 product is defective out of box. And for anyone with newer wifi, Dyson went cheap in the components. Only 2.4ghz supported. I last had that happen in knock off $20 electronics I bought on Amazon. I would not expect to see that type of cheap components in a $600 fan.

Over priced fan
