However after having this setup near my kitchen, I can confirm there is intelligent design. If I even chop up some herbs this fan/air purifier senses contaminants in the air (the smell) and turns itself up higher to ensure the air is pure. I would not recommend using only one of these to purify your entire house unless you have good air circulation, as it may take time for "bad" air to come in proximity with the fan.

Yes it’s a little loud if you’re not used to it, however I’ve become so used to it that if it’s not on when I sleep I can’t fall asleep. It’s almost like a white noise for me.

I bought it because I was looking specifically for a fan that was HomeKit compatible. At the time I purchased and the time of this review Best Buy's website states that it is HomeKit compatible. However, the fan is not HomeKit compatible so I ended up returning it. Over all it is pretty nice and I would have kept it if it were a little cheaper or had HomeKit. It monitors the indoor air quality, temperature, and humidity, which is all pretty neat.
