There are a lot of new air purifiers on the market, for obvious reasons. This one excels in a couple of areas that I just don't think others are. First, the form factor is instantly recognizable as Dyson has been making a similar looking fan for a while. The lack of buffeting in a fan is a big deal, but it's pretty standard in home air purifiers. However, many of the HEPA purifiers have a large footprint. I think where this form factor matters a lot though, is that it works well as a cooling fan, in addition to the filtering aspect, which isn't seen in most standalone filters. They just don't move air very far. While volumetrically, this one is probably average for the cu.sq.ft./hr. it's filtering, it takes up very little floorspace. It gets away with it because it's tall. This also helps circulate the filtered air higher, which I suspect has benefits with regard to forcing particulates to fall and be captured in the filters. I was happy to learn that my home has little to worry about in the way of environmental contaminants, but I could see in a school/workplace setting, this detecting issues that might be addressed both with this filter, but also with determining a contaminant emission source. Overall, I think this is a well designed home or office standalone filter and should complement most interior designs. There are a couple caveats to mention. First, on its highest setting, it's pretty loud. Think of it as a little quieter than a box fan. This is fine for some, but if you're watching a movie, or easily distracted by that type of noise, you may find yourself turning down the fan. Second is the lack of controls on the unit. The unit requires use of a remote or the downloadable app. The limiting of buttons on the units seems to be a trend among air filtration units, but those are usually much more simple in their controls. For instance, other units may have 3 settings, so pushing one button starts it in auto, pushing it again makes it manual/high, and again manual/medium and so on, until it turns off from sequential pushes. This Dyson unit does much more, control-wise, which is nice, until you can't find the remote. It oscillates, changes direction, has ten speeds, among other controls. The button on the unit only turns it on and off. If you're one to lose remotes, and don't like using the app, you might be limited to how much control you're going to get over this highly controllable device.

I love this fan. It really does cool the room down and is quiet. I love the setting options, the fact that I can control it by the app on my phone and that it fits Dyson’s reputation for quality and innovation.

I recently moved into a large loft in a historic building where air quality has been identified as an issue by residents in the past. Due to my concern, I wanted to take advantage of this opportunity to explore the latest Dyson products for air filtration and cooling. I’m so glad I did! Things to know right away - this unit is quiet, easy to use, and provides useful information both within the app and on the small display on the unit itself. There is something reassuring about being able to see what air quality looks like at a glance, especially given the resident rumors around here. The unit comes with a physical remote that duplicates the functionality of the app and using the Dyson Link skills in Alexa you can also control by voice. I’ve noticed since I’ve been running it that my night time congestion isn’t what it was the first two weeks I lived here without it. While I can’t be 100% sure, I do know that the Dyson is doing its part to keep the air in my original 1919 loft cleaner and safer.

This is more than i had my expectations, very quiet, not noisy at all, fresh air at the moment you turn it on .

Love the rotation option and the design, and it takes up very little space. It’s quiet and suits my needs.

As soon as i got it, within 5 minutes i already felt my nose clear and it easier to breath. The MyDyson app helps me control it from anywhere in my house.

I honestly can't say enough good things about this purifier. It works so well, it's quiet, the app is seamless. The filters were easy to put in and the screen is perfect. I just wish there was a way to control it without the remote or the app.

This dyson air purifier is a bit pricey but it works great. The auto function works very well and I like how the App tells you the quality and explains what is in the air. Overall very happy with our purchase!

This is a wonderful item i super happy i got this as a gift for my mom. She recently got diagnosed with covid and this item helps her with her breathing when she is in her room i can honestly say that this item saved my mother amd im very grateful and just want to say thank you ❤️❤️❤️

It was suggested I get one to keep bugs out, but it definitely doesn't do that. I think I bought it for the wrong reason. I hope it is purifying the air but have no idea.

Love Dyson products and this one doesn’t disappoint! I have it in the bedroom and have noticed a real reduction in the amount of dusting I need to do!

I really like this fan. Works well and is quite. Only down side might be that it seems to have no way to control it without the remote.

Im not convinced this actually cleaned the air. Not once did it reflect clean air (Green) in the app until I added another air purifier and this was just in a bedroom. I wouldn’t recommend spending so much on this when a $150 one could do the trick
