Customers are saying
Customers recognize the Purifier Cool - TP07 - Smart Air Purifier and Fan for its ability to improve air quality and its acceptable noise level. Many appreciate its fan functionality, ease of use, and the accompanying app. While the overall performance and design receive positive feedback, some customers find the price to be a drawback, and a few have noted an unusual smell and desired a taller size.

Air purifier only, not a fan
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted a fan, this is purely an air purifier. It almost does not blow air. A waste of money. I don't mind the price if it is also a fan.

Posted .Hi Chris, this is Kelly with Dyson. One of our newest purifiers, the TP07 has been re-engineered to provide 50% cleaner air, and intelligently senses, captures and traps pollutants, all to ensure you are breathing the cleanest air possible in your home. The fully sealed HEPA filter ensures that anything trapped in the filter, stays there. TP07 also offers adjustable airflow settings ranging from 1-10, and oscillation which helps project purified air around the whole room. It's unusual to hear that you found your machine to be lacking in airflow. We would value the opportunity to learn more regarding your experience as we are committed to customer satisfaction. Please feel free to email us at askdysonUS@dyson.com. It will be our pleasure to provide support.

Posted .Hello, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you've been disappointed with the lack of airflow from your TP07 Dyson Purifier Cool. TP07 offers 10 speeds of airflow to select from, in addition to both forward and back airflow and 350 degrees of oscillation, which also helps project purified air around the whole room.
This is certainly not what we would expect to hear, nor the experience we would ever want or expect for any of our valued owners. Filters cost too much

Posted .Hello Gabriel, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're glad to hear that you've been happy with your TP07 Purifier Cool thus far. This model is 20% quieter while in use that previous models, and the fully sealed HEPA filtration system removed 99.95% of particles as small as 0.1 microns. The LCD display shows real-time air quality, as well as temperature and humidity. The filter in your machine is designed to last roughly 4400 hours, so if you run the purifier 12 hours every single day, you should get about a year of life from the filter before needing to replace it. If you have any other questions or concerns we can help with, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly at askdysonUS@dyson.com.

Not worth it - defective noise on arrival
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow, I guess I should have heeded the other reviews commenting on the sound this fan makes. Whenever it's on a fan level lower than 8, it makes a whirring, insect-like noise, like a cicada. For this price, I'd expect such a defect to show up after a few years of use - not a day. Poorly made, really disappointed and makes me have zero confidence in the manufacturing and quality control by Dyson and Best Buy.

Much more than I expected!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quick Pros & Cons: Pros: • Automatically adjusts to air quality measurements • Variable-speed upright oscillating fan with remote control • Replicable HEPA+carbon filters • Wi-Fi enabled with exceptionally well-designed smartphone app Cons: • A bit bulkier than prior (fan-only) models without filters In the box: • Fan and two HEPA+carbon filters Setup: • Setup and installation of filters was straightforward. • Installation of Dyson Link app on iPhone was easy. Usage: This is a sleek, intuitive, functional, and well-designed fan. It has 10 fan speed settings and can be set to oscillate 45, 90, 180, or 350 degrees. It is also an intelligent air quality monitor and measures particulate matter (PM) at the 2.5 and 10 micron sizes, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), temperature, and humidity. The default view on the fan’s LCD display is the fan speed and air quality graph. The “i” button on the remote will cycle through the individual air quality metrics and then display information on the remaining filter life and, finally a display to indicate whether Wi-Fi is enabled before returning to the default display. In “auto” mode, the fan speed will increase when poorer air quality is detected to facilitate removal of airborne pollutants. It also effectively turns the fan off when air quality is good and only draws in as much air as needed to perform air quality monitoring. In “night” mode, the fan will use quieter fan settings (when in auto mode) and dim the light on the fan’s front LCD display. There is also a sleep timer to turn off the fan automatically after 1, 2, 4, or 8 hours. Filter life will depend on the air quality in your home. Mine has been running continuously for over a week with only occasional excursions into the yellow air quality range and the unit reports only 5% of the filter life has been used. Under these conditions, I expect to replace the filters about every 6 months. The iPhone app is intuitive, well designed, and has considerably more features than the remote and can be used to monitor and control multiple Dyson devices remotely. You can set up a weekly schedule for your fan and enable voice commands using Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, or Apple Siri. Overall: This is the most useful and versatile Dyson fan that I have owned. The replaceable filters and air quality monitoring are a great comfort. I delete most product-specific smartphone apps shortly after installation as I find them only marginally useful. The Dyson Link app is a notable exception and will stay on my phone.

Posted .Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you've found the filter life in your TP07 to be such a disappointment. We do advertise that these filters are not washable, and do need to be replaced. How often then need to be replaced will depend on your usage. The filters are designed to last 4400 hours, so if you use the machine 24/7, it will require replacing in about 6 months. Amazing like all Dysons
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This air purifier is very impressive so far. This unit is my second and only purifies and cools (fan only) as contrasted with my first unit which also has a heater. Didn’t need heat for this ones location. This unit is tall, I would guess around 4” tall. While it’s tall, it’s still beautiful and blends in with any surrounding. Setup was a total breeze. The instructions are basically a handful of pictures and that’s all you need because it’s amazingly simple to setup. First you install the filters which simply snap on each side after pushing two buttons to remove the chrome grill that covers them. I used the IOS app to set it up, meaning adding it to my WiFi network, and then programming it. It also includes a very small sleek remote control, but nearly all functions can be controlled with the app, so I seldom will use the remote. The app interface is extremely intuitive. I was very surprised that not only could I program the degree of oscillation (or none) you can also create the exact range of oscillation from the app. The unit is very quite even on high, but seldom has had it turned up above 3 or 4. It automatically monitors (and displays) several different air qualities and turns itself higher or lower as needed. Of course for cooling you can take it off auto and manually choose the speed.

Intelligent Air Cleaning at its Finest
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Growing up in the northeast, I never had an allergic reaction to springtime. Time has passed since then and now I sneeze from seeing April on the calendar. That’s where this Dyson TP07 comes in. I spend a large portion of the year dealing with allergies, and that gets kicked up in springtime quite rapidly. I’ve looked at air purifiers, typically they’re either a big white box that takes up 2 sq ft of space with a weird, coded filter or something that is wired up to your HVAC system. Alternatively, there is nothing like the look of a Dyson fan. In the box you get the purifier, an IR remote control, and one filter. Setup is a snap, literally - the bottom grille splits into two semi-circles and one just needs to push the filter in on both sides and close the grilles. After that, plug it in and hit the power button. First thing is first - this is a Dyson fan, no doubts about it. At full tilt, it feels quite powerful for its size when compared against a pedestal fan. I don’t think it has a place competing against the high-powered 2.5’ tall air movers, but it is powerful enough that setting it to maximum is something I likely won’t ever do for long periods of time. The remote is good enough for the tasks at hand, it has a button to scroll through the information screens describing how clean your air is and what filter life remains (among other things). Another button sets the automatic filtration mode, and several others that change the speed and rotation. One neat button is the fan redirection mode - press this and the breeze from the air is diffused from the outside edge of the ring, not directional blast from the front. There’s also a button for nighttime mode which will set the unit to continue monitoring air quality, but only turn the fan on as low as it can go should filtration become necessary. The screen is backlit and colored, it will show the particulate matter in the air as a handy chart (at PM2.5 and PM10 sizes), VOC, NO2, temperature, humidity, filter life, and Wi-Fi status. When the screen is in nighttime mode, it dims slightly and turns off when unused to allow you to sleep better. Wi-Fi - if you missed it in the product description, this product connects to the internet and, really, that is where you’ll get the most value out of it. The remote works well enough with the 1” screen on the unit, but you get a small amount of data out of it otherwise. For instance, the screen will sometimes just show a chart for some measures (PM* ones in particular). However, the app will show you specific numbers for all of the data collected. The app also enables you to truly take control of your Dyson. Where the remote will let you set sleep mode to last for a certain time, the app will let you automatically schedule sleep mode to start at a certain time and end at another. Where the remote will let you set oscillation (from 0 - 350 degrees via the display), the app will let you do all those things, but it will also let you pick exactly where the oscillation starts and ends in the 350-degree circle available. I found this last feature really cool. While the app has some cool functionality, I wish that it wasn’t required to see some of these advanced pieces of information or configuration. I’m not quite sure how some of the advanced features could be revealed in a remote, but I’m sure that it could have been done. Further, it leaves me concerned for what happens when the application gets shut down in the distant future and the unit is still working as expected. Additionally, while the fan can move a lot of air, it’s not exactly quiet at any speed. At its lowest speed (auto with ‘clean’ air), it sounds like a refrigerator running during a normal cycle, but more “whiny.” At its lowest levels, I can sometimes find it annoying enough that I turn it off, doubly so at night. (Also, if you have continuous air quality monitoring enabled in the app, there is an even lower fan noise that doesn’t go away unless the unit is unplugged, defeating the purpose of the setting) The one thing I wish I could do with this product is use it as _just a fan_.There is no provision for if you would like to just have a breeze and not burn through filter media. I’d also be concerned with simply removing the filters given the design to enable such behavior, if it would even allow it. Overall, I like the product. Some of the technological features within it are quite fun and it does the job that it was built for. That said, I find it a tad bit expensive. Dyson has done their best to add some extra features that you might not normally see on such an appliance. Having some data to help understand what the air quality of my home is awesome, and I feel like I’m able to understand when I would actually get value from running it or not.
