Love this machine
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to help combat the wildfire smoke coming from Canada. The air quality in my area was awful but this air purifier helped bring me some peace of mind. The bad air was making me feel sick every day with a sore throat and within a couple days of using this I felt great again and havent had any issues! I love the app portion and the fan feels very nice. Glad I went with this purifier.

Air purifier that cools
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was sort of in the market for an air purifier, but I was turned off by the large footprint that many of them have. This Dyson Purifier Cool has a tiny footprint, so I got it. The base is about 8.5” (21.6cm) in diameter, the height is 41.5”(1.05m) tall. Overall width is about 8”(20.3cm) wide, so it really doesn’t take up much floor space. I decided to put my Dyson Purifier in my family room, which is our largest downstairs area, and it is adjacent to the kitchen. I am thinking of all of the smelly cooking that goes on once in a while, and how this purifier can remove odors. This machine was very easy to take out of the box and put together. The only thing really required to put it together was to install the two part filter, which half fits on each side of the base. It simply clicks into place, there’s only one way it will fit so you can’t mess it up. There is a minimal amount of plastic in the packaging, which I appreciate. You can access the user manual once you register on Dyson.com. It explains everything, even though it’s mostly self-explanatory. I downloaded the Dyson Link app, it’s very easy to hook up the purifier to the WIFI. It is fun to change the settings on the purifier via the app, but I just decided to try out the Auto mode for a while. The Auto mode detects and analyzes what is in the air in your space, then works accordingly. This could mean it’s barely working, but that’s fine. The remote for this machine is very small, it has all of the controls that are on the app, so you might not ever use it. While not in use, it can sit on top of the machine, it’s magnetic. I love that feature because I would probably lose it otherwise. This machine is primarily an air purifier, and secondly has a cooling fan. I wouldn’t get it to try and make my room feel air conditioned, because it’s not that kind of machine. The air that comes out is really nice because it’s purified and the fan can be adjusted from levels 1-10. You can change the direction of the air to come out of the back side of the unit. This would be handy when it’s cold and you don’t want to be cooled by the air coming out of it. The cord is 6’ long (1.8m) so you don’t have to be too close to an outlet to plug in. This Dyson works with Amazon’s Alexa, Apple’s Siri, and Google Assistant, but I don’t use any of those, so I can’t report about that. The only thing I’m not too crazy about is that I tried to find out how long a filter lasts for these so I can be proactive and buy one in advance but not too far in advance, all I keep finding out is that “the machine will let you know when the filter needs replacing”. On the app you can see what your filter life is at, so it can be monitored, it’s not a huge deal. Overall this is a great air purifier and I really love that it has a small footprint.

Unmatched in quality
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I genuinely love this fan. And purifier from Dyson. The design is so distinguishable and sleek it goes with any room, and decor and ads to any space that it is in. Dyson’s innovative designs and quality is what they are known for and this fan is very on brand with that. Setup is easy and takes 5 minutes tops. Connecting to the app is simple anyone can do it. Being able to control the fan with a remote, and in the app is probably my favorite feature and something I missed having previously owned a Dyson purifier fan. As soon as you turn it on, it immediately smells “clean” I can’t really describe it but it’s amazing and it happens each time you turn it on. You can tell it does it’s job. The auto feature works I’m someone who burns sage and incense so after my rituals I turn this on and let it go to work to cleanse the air quality. You can control the entire unit from the app, even away from home and put it on a timer. There is no negative side to getting this, especially allergy sufferers, and pet owners like myself. If you’re second guessing yourself- don’t. You won’t regret it it’s wildly popular for a reason and won’t disappoint. The only thing if I had to nitpick is on the higher settings while it isn’t terribly noisy, it isn’t as quiet as you may think. It’s a very low hum in comparison to other fans/purifiers/box fans but think of the power it’s exerting to get the job done effectively. I like a little white noise so it doesn’t bother me at all, but just 1. Turn it down lower, or just push through until the air has cleared and it will automatically turn down by itself. The sound is usually the main complaint with this Dyson doe some, but I don’t find it off putting and actually missed the sound of it at night. Just go for it!

First Air Purifier
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been looking into getting an air purifier for some time now and have always liked the look and style of Dyson bladeless fans. Two things for the price of one is a bonus win for me! I have used a fan to sleep for years and for me this has been a game changer. This Dyson has a nice mix of white noise that I like as well as keeping me cool at night. I have noticed a marked change in my allergies when using the air purifier. The app lets you see the air quality, temperature, and humidity constantly. I used the air purifier in all the rooms in my house and was pleased to find out the air quality in my home is good. It made me breathe a sigh of relief to see the readings on the Dyson app. You have the options to control the fan via the Dyson app or with the included remote, I prefer the functions of the app and being able to see a real time read of the room temps and air quality. The fan was a bit taller than I realized, but it does have a small foot print in the room. On the higher fan settings it might be loud for some people, but has not been a problem for me or my family. I am overall happy with the features of the fan/air purifier and appreciate the cleaner air my family is now breathing!

Posted .Hi there Good, this is Tia with Dyson. We're sorry to learn that you're not having a 5-star experience with your Dyson TP07 Smart Air Purifier. Dyson fans work to cool a person by moving air over and around them. It's the air flow from our blade-less fan that provides personal cooling effects. With that being said, you will not want to expect the ambient air in a room to drop to cooler temperatures when only using a fan.
We would value the opportunity to ensure that your unit is performing as designed, or address any questions or concerns you may have. Please feel free to email askdysonUS@dyson.com and we are happy to provide you with support.

Great charts depicting air quality
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Dyson TP07 has proven so far to be a good purifier and cooling fan all in one. I’ve placed this in my room next to a high traffic area for people, pets, and pollutants. It’s next to my dog’s bed as well as near the exit to the backyard. I get bad allergies, so having a purifier especially close to where my dog can track pollen is ideal. Setup wasn’t too complicated. I followed the literature as well as watched online instructions and it was pretty simple once I plugged it in. I was a bit confused about the arrows on the filters. I didn’t see anything about the arrows in the manual or the video instructions so I just installed them and moved on. I was prompted to register the product, make an account, and download the app. The app is a great tool to use when I want to make sure the Dyson TP07 is working but I’m not in the room. I did use the fan and go through the settings to test it out, but for the most part, I’ve been running this on Auto. The air quality in my house seems great and I love being able to see that in real time. I turned on Continuous-Monitoring so I’m getting the most data out of my air quality. The app also tells me how much life the air filters have left and has a convenient “Buy filter online” button for when that time comes. The app has a very helpful “Using your machine” menu item that answered a lot of my questions. The included remote can be conveniently stored on top of the purifier as there is a magnet that scures it. It’s a simple but effective feature that I really like. Remote settings are also easily accessed through the app. The only difference between the physical remote and the app remote is the timer and night mode. From what I can tell, the night mode on the physical remote lowers the brightness on the LCD screen and can also act as a timer. When I set the night mode for 8 hours (with the physical remote), the system was off in the morning. The app’s night mode button is just on/off and its timer settings have more options. For example, the app can set a 15 minute timer all the way up to 9 hours, but the physical remote offers 1, 2, 4, and 8 hour options. Another feature I love is the oscillation which is silent and has a wide range of degree choices (45, 90, 180, and 350 degrees). The LCD screen clearly shows the air quality pretty much in real time and has neat little graphics for each feature. The fan itself has 10 power levels and can switch airflow directions. I do wonder about the open design of the fan. The airflow comes from the edges of the oval, so it really seems like it’s just a design choice. That’s not to say it’s not a good fan, I just initially thought the air would somehow go through the open hole. Overall, I’m satisfied with this air purifier as it offers peace of mind knowing I’m breathing fresh air. I am looking forward to being able to keep an eye on my air quality and be aware of any changes that may need to be made.

Freshen up smoky/vapy rooms
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've just recently gotten into air purifiers and the main reason is that I'm no longer supposed to take OTC pain killers so I'm relying on CBD. I didn't want to vape carts as ejuice is kinda harsh on my lungs. I already take CBD oil but it takes too long to activate when I need it so I've gone with dry herb vaping. Vaping hemp flowers leaves a quite a smell, not nearly the amout of ordor if I were to combust (smoke) the flowers. I mainly vape in my man cave and the only window has a AC unit it it with no fresh air function. I didn't need heat because I don't use heat in the cave, even in winter, so I got the basic fan/filter Dyson Purifier Cool. The unit stands at 41.5" with the blower at 28.5". Width is 8.125". It's rough the size of a tall tower fan. Assemly was minimal requiring only the insertion of the front and back filters. After no-time I was ready to go. The Dyson Purifier Cool comes with a remote but the Dyson app is has so many features I couldn't see myself using the remote (honestly, I haven't yet). The app shows the air quality and temp inside and outside but more defined on the inside quality. Swipe up and you'll see the particle quality for each of the options: PM 2.5, PM 10, VOC, NO2, along with a history graph. There are 10 speed levels and at the lower levels the fan is pretty quite. At 7 is where the sound matches the noise from the Dual Inverter AC unit I have. In a quieter room you may want to lower the speed if the noise is bothersome. Initially my air quality was "Good." So I wanted to test how well it can take out the smell of CBD flower vapors. What surprised me is that after my first puff, one minute later I heard the fan speed up. Another puff and it increased again. I didn't think the Dyson could be that sensitive so after 15minutes, when it slowed back down and went back to good, I puffed again and watched the app. Just a minute after a puff the fan speed up and the quality decreased. After finishing the bowl the air quality was poor and the fan was on full blast. Another 15 minutes and it was back to good. I mentioned that I won't be using the remote and that's because the app does everything I need and does it remotely or you can even control the fan via Alexa. I can tell Alexa to turn Dyson on, Turn oscilation on/off, and set the speed. This can be done locally or over the 'net. The app also has the ability to set up the ocilating angle. 45, 90, 180... and where the home point is to be set. This way you can point to the area that you want it to oscilate. There's also a switch to reverse the direction the air comes from the blades, meaning you can have it come out the back instead of the front. The Dyson Purifier Cool is great for those of us that enjoy stinky hobbies and for general air freshening. It gets a definate A+ from me.

Excellent Purifier, Tech Connected
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first Dyson product, and I have to say I'm thoroughly impressed. Initial set up is simple, pop in the filters, plug it in and you're off. Getting it connected to your phone takes maybe 2 minutes. It isn't very loud at full speed, it sounds similar to a gaming computer's fans running at full tilt. It may be too much if it's close to you but if your house/apartment is large enough to set it off in a corner you probably wont find it very loud. It moves a good amount of air in the forward position, though running it in reverse mode it does move less but I don't typically do that. If I need to run it in reverse (to evacuate smoke from an overcooked dinner) it would make more sense to me to just flip the entire unit. It isn't heavy or bulky at all so that would be easiest and probably the most effective. The sensors do a good job picking up air particulates. I use an ecig at my computer and it'll pick up particulates from that at about 4 feet away. Impressive since it's blowing the vape cloud away from itself and is still able to sense particulates in the air. I find the phone app to work a little bit better than the actual physical remote, but specifically when turning on/off the oscillation. The phone app lets you double tap to force the motor to rotate it the other direction immediately. The physical remote requires you to wait for the display to tiimeout (about 5 seconds) if you want change the degrees of rotation or change direction. Not a big deal and I doubt many people would be bothered by that, mostly when trying to get the airflow direction "just right." You might be better off just picking the unit up and adjusting it slightly. The app also has no trouble connecting to the unit even when not on the same network. I have a ecobee camera and I wanted to check on the latency while off my wifi. Tapping the oscillation button, then switching to the ecobee live view and the fan was already oscillating. That's pretty quick for remote access. One thing I did notice, and I don't know if this is a bug or something in my apartment. The first 5 days of use with the 24h monitoring turned on, there was a spike at 8am and 8pm of air particulates. At no other time during the day was any spike recorded, and it happened 5 days in a row. It hasn't done it since, but I found that to be a bit strange. If you want a sleek looking, tech connected, well performing air purifier, it's hard to beat this one. Oh, and yes my air does smell cleaner. I run mine sun up to sun down, and it has helped reduce the cat smell in my apartment.

Advanced features with small footprint
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are a lot of new air purifiers on the market, for obvious reasons. This one excels in a couple of areas that I just don't think others are. First, the form factor is instantly recognizable as Dyson has been making a similar looking fan for a while. The lack of buffeting in a fan is a big deal, but it's pretty standard in home air purifiers. However, many of the HEPA purifiers have a large footprint. I think where this form factor matters a lot though, is that it works well as a cooling fan, in addition to the filtering aspect, which isn't seen in most standalone filters. They just don't move air very far. While volumetrically, this one is probably average for the cu.sq.ft./hr. it's filtering, it takes up very little floorspace. It gets away with it because it's tall. This also helps circulate the filtered air higher, which I suspect has benefits with regard to forcing particulates to fall and be captured in the filters. I was happy to learn that my home has little to worry about in the way of environmental contaminants, but I could see in a school/workplace setting, this detecting issues that might be addressed both with this filter, but also with determining a contaminant emission source. Overall, I think this is a well designed home or office standalone filter and should complement most interior designs. There are a couple caveats to mention. First, on its highest setting, it's pretty loud. Think of it as a little quieter than a box fan. This is fine for some, but if you're watching a movie, or easily distracted by that type of noise, you may find yourself turning down the fan. Second is the lack of controls on the unit. The unit requires use of a remote or the downloadable app. The limiting of buttons on the units seems to be a trend among air filtration units, but those are usually much more simple in their controls. For instance, other units may have 3 settings, so pushing one button starts it in auto, pushing it again makes it manual/high, and again manual/medium and so on, until it turns off from sequential pushes. This Dyson unit does much more, control-wise, which is nice, until you can't find the remote. It oscillates, changes direction, has ten speeds, among other controls. The button on the unit only turns it on and off. If you're one to lose remotes, and don't like using the app, you might be limited to how much control you're going to get over this highly controllable device.

Quiet and efficient
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently moved into a large loft in a historic building where air quality has been identified as an issue by residents in the past. Due to my concern, I wanted to take advantage of this opportunity to explore the latest Dyson products for air filtration and cooling. I’m so glad I did! Things to know right away - this unit is quiet, easy to use, and provides useful information both within the app and on the small display on the unit itself. There is something reassuring about being able to see what air quality looks like at a glance, especially given the resident rumors around here. The unit comes with a physical remote that duplicates the functionality of the app and using the Dyson Link skills in Alexa you can also control by voice. I’ve noticed since I’ve been running it that my night time congestion isn’t what it was the first two weeks I lived here without it. While I can’t be 100% sure, I do know that the Dyson is doing its part to keep the air in my original 1919 loft cleaner and safer.
