To be honest I don’t like fans because like anything else they collect dust. When I saw Dyson had these bladeless purifying hot & cool options I thought it was worth checking out. In Best Buy they had a few blowing which seemed to blow cool and I was immediately sold. I went as far as spending the almost $1000 for the formaldehyde eliminating one even. Well don’t take a two week vacation shortly after buying something at that price. If I could return it I would. This product is a very good purifier but a terrible fan option unless the room is already cold. It also per the U.S. safety standard UL 1278 disables the thermometer control on the app. To be honest I’m assuming that feature is specifically for heat since when I try to change it on the remote it shuts off cause I’m adjusting it in the heat setting and it does not exist for cool. Hopefully it’s a great heater in the winter, but I will not hold my breath.

One of our newest machines, the Hot + Cool Formaldehyde features four sensors to ensure you are experiencing precise air quality monitoring. The integrated sensor system, and solid-state formaldehyde sensor constantly analyze your air, ensuring your room air is the effectively purified and cleaned.
Our Purifiers & fans do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces surrounding air to be drawn into the airflow, resulting in a powerful stream of smooth cooling air.

AIR purifier

It does a really good job cleaning the Air and tells you the air quailty and gives a weekly report! It is quite expensive but the husband is Allergic to my cats so this sits by him.

Great design and just a little bit noisy, but totally acceptable to work in an office, basement, bedroom. Only issue, we don't have any information from DYSON about the electric consumption / hour/day ?? Thanks!

Had been planning to purchase it a while ago, but actually got it recently, when the air quality was really low due to wildfires in Canada. Dyson is easy to use and it keeps the air you breathe clean. Highly recommend!

Thermostat isnt based in Reality off by 5-8 degree

Both from Best Buy. The first one was purchased for my elderly parent who is in poor health and is always cold. Clean air and heat all it one.. Win win. Works great.. Purchased a second one for my office which gets cold and i wanted to replace the separate units i had for air purifying and heat. The problem with the new one is that the Thermostat on the machine is off by anywhere between 5-8 degrees F. I try to keep room temp at 75 degrees. Actual room temperature in the room when the Dyson thinks its 75 is closer to 70 degrees.. Dyson tech support was awful. All i did was repeat myself and the only troubleshooting they did was to check if the machine was dirty, have me turn the heat up to the highest temp, and confirm i was using the remote vs the app. Their solution was to send it back via UPS.
