Set it and Forget it
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own a Dyson vacuum and it has been awesome. Good quality and reliable. So when I had the opportunity to try this new Dyson Purifier, I had a good idea of what I was getting. To start, unboxing was a bit crazy with multiple boxes inside the main box. I had to make sure I wasn't leaving any small parts behind. Set-up was very simple. The companion app Dyson Link helps guide you to get the purifier running. Because this is also a Humidifier, you also add water to the bottom tank. Just be careful not to spill anything on the lid as there are some electrical components. I've had it running 24/7 on Auto mode for the fan and humidifier and it's been great. At first it really revved up the fans to start cleaning, but after a few hours it became very silent. I almost forget its even there. The little display on the front is a great indicator to see what the Air Quality is in your home. And the whole unit is very responsive. Immediately after opening our front door, the Purifier will rev up as it detects more particles coming inside. I'm really happy with the new Dyson Purifier. It blew all my expectations away. It's great knowing what's in the air we breathe while at home. All the data collected from the sensors really helps with knowing what changes need to be made at home to keep it clean and safe.

Perfection
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is by far the best air filtration unit I’ve ever used and since it’s a Dyson you know it’s quality built. Set up was really easy, unbox it and in about 5 minutes it’s up and running, 10 minutes if you add water for the humidifying feature. The minute it powered on it began scrubbing the air and I guess my air needed cleaning cause the air quality index (AQI) went immediately yellow. In about 20 min the AQI was green and it’s been holding steady since. It’s really cool once I start cooking, the unit senses the AQI change and starts to cleaning the air, it’s really efficient too!! I decided to try something too, I purposely scalded oil in one of my older pans and then held it behind the unit…sucked in that smokey nasty air and out came clean air plus hardly any smoke escaped into the room!!! I have not noticed the unit cleaning any formaldehyde out of my house as of yet (can’t stare at this 24/7 hahaha) however based on performance I would not doubt in its ability to do so of it ever happened. Comes with the usual features that’s to be expected; remote, 3 fan speeds, oscillation and timer. Unit oozes quality and is well worth the investment!

Cleaner Air In Your Home
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using the Dyson Purifier with Humidity Control for a few weeks now and so far so good. I'm really looking forward to how it works this winter and if my skin doesn't feel so dry. A few features that I really like. On earlier Dyson fans the entire assembly rotated which prevented placement next to a wall. On this fan, the inner assembly rotates which creates much less of a visual distraction and also allows better placement options. This also allows a "Breeze" function on the oscillation setting to mimic the wind vs the normal 45/90 settings. You can control the amount of humidity in the room up to 70%. In the upper Midwest, I don't think it's possible to achieve 70% indoor humidity in the winter, but I also don't think you'd want to. Normal humidity is between 30-50%. You can use voice control with either Amazon Alexa or Apple Siri or you could set up schedules through the mobile app. Dyson continues to make amazing devices that have features I never knew I needed, but I'm glad I have them

Confused
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went to best buy today and yesterday for almost 1 year i had my eye on this baby and was so set to purchase but when i went to best buy the dyson rep wasn't in and needed to know why they don't have A purifier humidifier cool and HEAT all in one so i thought ill wait until today to go in and ask so i go in the employee from dyson was there great i thought i was going to ask my questions buy and go after 45 minutes of talking the rep not only gave me wrong information about the product but also confirmed that the cost on Black Friday would be 599.99 and a little less if i had the plus member after 45 mins of giving me wrong info on this particular product he also gave me the wrong price and said im so sorry its the wrong price i was looking at its actually 999.99 Black Friday Sale 799.99 i was so upset and left i didn't say this to get the person in any trouble but to inform how important it is to be very informative on a product especially when it comes to features and pricing

Useless Junk, Terrible Customer Support
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you’re thinking of buying one of these, please run from this junk, you might as well set the best part of $1000 on fire. Please run from this company whose ‘support’ shows they have zero respect for their customers. I'm on my second PH04 - Both times the machines have failed at the Deep Clean Cycle. The first machine, we were told the pump had failed, Dyson were to send us a new pump, weeks go by, no pump. I call Support again, who tell me that they’re not sending out pumps... I just loved the fact I’d been waiting on a pump they were never going to send. The agent offers no additional help, seemingly satisfied with doing their job of offering their customer no solution. I politely suggest they might want to send a replacement. 10 months later and, spoiler alert, this second machine also fails on the Deep Clean Cycle. Support was as outstandingly moronic as I remembered them to be, but we somehow managed to establish that I’m to take the machine to a UPS, sans box, and it will be sent to a repair center. 13 days they said and I’ll have a new machine. Apparently I’m really unlucky to have had 2 faulty machines as this ‘never happens’… Dyson is trolling us. Dyson won’t bat an eyelid at this feedback, but I sincerely hope this helps prevent someone buying one of these machines that should have been recalled.

Mediocre humidifier / great air purifier

It didn’t get above 45-50% in our house according to my humidity monitor even though I set it to be as high as 70% humidity on the dyson. Gave it a week and didn’t meet my expectations so I have returned this product. On the other hand, great as an air purifier and got rid of all food and construction smells.

We're happy to hear that thus far in your use, in terms of purifying your home's room air, you've found the PH04 Dyson Purifier Humidify+Cool Formaldehyde to be so effective. The machine can reach 70% humidity, but getting to this target depends on environmental conditions like the size and ventilation of the room, and the relative humidity of the surrounding air. Even when the machine is working properly, it can naturally be harder to reach a target humidity if the air is relatively dry to begin with, if it’s an “open” environment where non-humidified air is flowing in, etc.

Eliminates unwanted smells

Constant malfunctioning; Terrible customer service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This air purifier + humidifier kept breaking down/malfunctioning for the entire year I owned it. Most of the time I followed troubleshooting methods to get it to start working again, but then it would stop working for other reasons. On top of these problems you'll have to purchase supplies for this unit directly from Dyson. Things came to a grinding halt when I couldn't resolve "pump failure." Dyson customer service is terrible. Hold times of 1.5 hours + at any given time to wait to speak to anyone. Emails that aren't responded to for weeks. When I finally demanded that I be able to send this back to a Dyson repair facility I was told I could drive 50 miles to drop it off myself, or go to a UPS center to have it shipped. Dyson customer service gave me a "reference" number that supposedly would tell UPS how to pack and ship it, and UPS didn't have this number in their system. Having stood in a UPS center for nearly two hours trying to get this unit shipped I called Dyson again, to get a second number that once again was meaningless to UPS. I live in NYC and had to carry this enormous and extremely heavy air purifier for several miles to two different UPS centers to try to get this shipped. But I actually gave up and decided I no longer wanted to waste my time on a product that its company will not support. I left the unit on a street corner and walked away. I'm extremely disappointed with Dyson. It's the second product I've purchased from this company that has disappointed in its function or just completely broken, but this customer service experience for an extraordinarily expensive product really pushed it past the limit of acceptability. I'll never buy another Dyson product again.

Dont buy - high pitched noise will keep you awake

Since the first day I got it its had a high pitched noise coming from the fan box (see video). Its worse at the low settings, which is annoying since that is the setting you most want to use at night. I finally contacted the help desk at Dyson, and the best they had to offer was for me to drive literally an hour away to drop the machine off at a service center. If you spend this much money on a machine, you'd imagine that they would care more that they sent you a defective product.

Do Not Buy!

Fails after a deep clean

I called the dyson service they said I have to check my fitter. I checked and there is nothing. The smell is so bad . Is this toxic ? This smell is bad ? I don’t know what to do with it . It is very expensive and have plastic smell ????

100% worth it.

I got it on sale on Black Friday, but I would have paid full price if it wasn’t on sale. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely

Don't Buy Dyson!!!!!!

Room size is 16' x 16' and sealed. Unit is now at the Dyson Service for the last 2 weeks. They say it may be another week. I can no longer return the item to Best Buy as it is now past 15 days. It seems to be a waste of $900. I understand the no product is perfect and repairs may be necessary in some cases. However the Customer service is so poor its not worth paying a premium price for Dyson Products.
