What can I say. You pay for what you get. I love dyson.

As a person with allergies, this is a wonderful air purifier, but it's big. It's hard to find a spot to place this thing. I'm sure over time I'll figure it out. The positives: The remote is pretty sweet. It's magnetic and it sit on top of the unit where hopefully it won't get lost. I also downloaded the app from the Google play store and it lets you update and control the unit. It's not noisy, but it's not quiet either on the higher settings. I thought I remember Dyson making a point about how quiet these fans were. We just had a day where it was 80f degrees inside and out and on full speed this put out a nice breeze aimed at my recliner. It does oscillate at different degrees, 45, 90, 180 and 350 I believe. I like it stationary. The negatives are the filters. Yeah I know an air purifier is going to need filters, but these look pricey. I haven't priced them out yet, but hopefully they aren't too bad because they are pretty big. There are 2 halves that are charcoal and 2 halves that I believe are hepa filters. The app show you the percentage of life left in the filters as well as current conditions such as air quaility. Knock on wood, but I think this thing is helping my Claritin work as I haven't had a sneezing, watery eye day this spring.

We really wanted a Dyson air purifier, but we returned this one because the app was not connecting reliably. We also wanted to have one with a heat function. This unit does not have a heat function.

This cooler is good as a booster to an already cool room or space ,but for a 10x10 workshop not so good ,but I will say after 2 hrs it brought the room down from 101 F to 93 F , I’m Shure if the room was cooler it might have worked better.

The design of this purifier is very similar to most of the other Dyson fans and heaters that have been on the market for years. This one is a bit larger than any Dyson fan I have seen though. This unit is about 3 1/2 feet tall and 9 inches wide. So its not something that you can tuck away and not have it be noticeable. With that being said, after a few days of using it is does kind of disappear and its not as noticeable. As far as performance goes, it definitely cleans the air! We are currently finishing our basement and doing a lot of drywalling, so there is a lot of dust and stuff being created downstairs. We have the Dyson near the top of the stairs to the basement. It usually is off or runs on a low speed (we have it set on auto) but as soon as we start working down there it kicks into high gear because it is sensing the dust. It is also right near our kitchen and anytime someone is in their frying or cooking burgers or bacon or something like that it also kicks into high gear and starts cleaning the air. I have allergies, and I can definitely tell a difference since we have been using the Dyson. Normally my nose is constantly stuffy, and I don't notice that as much anymore. The app is also another cool feature of this Dyson. It gives you real-time analysis of your air quality as well as keeping a history so you can see how your air quality has been in your home. You can also control the unit from your phone and turn it on and off and change the fan speed and things like that. There is also a small display on the unit that shows a graph of the air quality as well. ...and is does have a night mode so if you use it in a bedroom it wont be shining a bright light while you are trying to sleep. It also comes with a handheld remote as well to control the fan if you don't want to use your phone, and it magnetically sits right on top of the fan which is pretty cool! I do have concerns about how long the filters will last (because they are quite pricey to replace) We have been using the purifier for about 3 weeks now and it says the filter life is at 97%. Which would roughly mean you should have to change them every 3-4 months. But I guess time will tell if that is true or not. One other small complaint I have is the sound level when it kicks into high gear. Its a bit loud at the highest setting. When you have it on auto mode you cant control the fan setting, so that can be a bit annoying when it kicks into high gear for an hour or two. I would like it if there was a setting so you could have it on auto, but also select a maximum fan speed within the auto setting. That way you could still leave it on auto, but only have the fan at maximum of like a 6 or 7 out of 10. Other than that small gripe, I am very happy with this purifier. I hope to have it in our home for may years to come!

I didn't like it . The fan was not strong enough. Looks nice but was not great. I returned with no problem at all. I didn't think the fan even did the job that was supposed to do. Very sad.

I had been looking for a fan to help circulate the air on the second floor of my home. I suffer from allergies and asthma so the added benefit of having a fan which is also an air purifier seemed ideal. What a better solution than a Dyson TP04 Pure Cool Tower air purifier. I own other Dyson products which perform exceptionally well due to Dyson’s unsurpassed product quality and advanced tech designs so I was eager to try the Pure Cool. Upon arrival I was surprised by the size of the box but then again this is a tower fan which measures nearly 42 inches tall. Due to its size I think it’s more practical as a floor fan but I’m sure you can use it as a tabletop too. Unboxing was a breeze. Inside you find the fan, the air purifying filters, a remote control, and a manual. I removed the packaging from the air filters and installed them easily while referencing the manual. You are next instructed to plug in the unit and position the remote on the top of the fan facing down and then turn it on. The Pure Cool is a great looking fan. I just love it’s sleek futuristic blade-less design. I put it in place and check out the remote which controls a bunch of functions such as on/off, airflow speed, oscillation, airflow direction, night mode, and an information button. There is also a night mode button which dims the display and reduces the airflow speed range between setting 1-4. I love this setting since I like the background white noise of a fan running while I sleep. The higher airflow settings sure move a lot of air and doesn’t get terribly loud. The included remote controls the Pure Cool nicely but this fan/air purifier can do so much more with the Dyson Link app for your IOS or Android mobile device or tablet. The Dyson TP04 is in fact a smart home device and with the Dyson Link app you can access this functionality. Simply download the app to your device and it detects your Pure Cool and walks you through setup. You first sign up for a Dyson account and you activate your guarantee. Next you connect the Pure Cool to your WiFi network. You are now prompted to upgrade the Pure Cool firmware and then you’re up and running. Within the app you can control a ton of features. First off you can now control all the fan functions because the app also acts as a remote control. You can also setup a schedule to turn your Pure Cool on and off automatically at specified times. Very cool indeed! In the app you can also access the temperature, humidity, and an overall air quality reading. The Pure Cool not only purifies the air in your home, it also lets you know your air quality using 3 sensors which continually monitor air quality and display the results in the app This detailed air quality information shows particulate matter levels, nitrogen dioxide levels, and VOC levels. The app also tracks and graphs this info over time. Impressive stuff. You can now control your Dyson Pure Cool with either remote control or through the Dyson Link app. But wait there is an additional option. The Pure Cool can be controlled via voice commands with Alexa! Simply activate the Dyson skill in your Alexa app and link your Dyson account and now you can control a ton of features by voice. The Pure Cool really is a smart home device. I love it. The Dyson uses activated carbon filters to purify the air. I have allergies and asthma so knowing that the Dyson Pure Cool can capture 99.7% of air particles as small as .3 microns is reassuring and no doubt will prove beneficial to my homes air quality and ultimately my personal comfort. The Dyson Pure Cool is a great addition to my home. Highly recommended.

So as a fan, this is awesome. However, I didn’t really see much of a difference from the air purifying standpoint. Save your money on this one.

Love this fan/purifier by Dyson. It oscillates 350 degrees or without if you desire. It has a start/stop button, a remote control and a Dyson app for control from anywhere and explains more in detail about what it actually does. It also is compatible with Alexa so that in the middle of the night I can adjust it to whatever setting I require, on/off, ask what the room air quality is, the humidity in the room, the temperature in the room and much more and all without even lifting your head off your pillow. The app even tells you what the air quality is outside, the humidity and pollutants after you enter your location into the app. The set up was very simple. The filter does seem a bit pricey, but when you consider all that this does and how much it filters it is well worth it and only needed maybe twice a year at the most (unless you use it 24/7 and depending on how much filtration is actually needed). The app even tells you how much life is left in the filter and when to change it. I put this in the master bedroom and found the air quality poor, but within no time it was up to good. I gave up smoking cigarettes and now vape. I vaped in the room and the level of air quality went right back down to poor again, but within minutes of stopping it was cleared up. After vaping and seeing the results, it might even help me to stop smoking completely. All I could think of is this going into my lungs. A real reality check. I cooked a steak in the kitchen and browned it a little too much and again the air quality went down even with that door closed, but after a little time, it went back up to good air quality. I do have another well-known brand purifier and it doesn’t even compare to this. All I could do is hope that it was working, without any proof of it actually doing anything at all. I am amazed at how much air it throws out and it has fan settings from 1 – 10. I did have concerns of the air quality where I was sleeping and will run it in there for awhile to see how the pattern is for a week. The app also has a scale to show you the pattern of the air quality for a period of time. This is very capable of doing a much bigger space and I will eventually find the ideal permanent place for it.

It’s a good fan, but definitely not worth the price. A normal $30+ fan would do the same amount of work as this one.

Looks great, great features, very loud and barely blows wind around a small room. Takes about 3 hours to cool down a hot room.
