Good Smart Fan, Could use more airflow

The filtering ability and knowledge you get from the app about the air quality around the device is great. I also love the fact that with the app you can control the fan from anywhere where you have an internet connection with your phone. My one big gripe with this fan is that it really does not seem to move a huge amount of air. I don't know if the inclusion of the filters restricts the airflow or if its just a design decision. But I feel for a fan at this price point there is one thing it should do very well, and that is move air. Air movement on max setting (10) seems a little low as I have several old fashion tower fans that seem to move a significant amount more of air even on lower settings. Other than the air speed though the fan is great it runs quite on any setting under 8 (9 and 10 tend to be a little noisy at times) and it has helped to filter out the air in my home.

The 360° sealed HEPA and activated charcoal filters are designed to remove gases and capture 99.97% of microscopic allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns, including bacteria, mold, odors from cooking, scented candles and car exhausts. Another enhancement is the backward airflow mode, which is great for use in winter. You also will have airflow speeds ranging from 1-10, to ensure you can adjust the strength of airflow to your liking. |Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i love this pure cool. it has a lot of options for the screen to let you know different things like the temp, humidity etc. it has a huge range that goes 350 degrees. and you can feel it from a good distance as well. can turn the fan lower so its not as cool or high and it blows cool air just like a fan would but also a lot more cleaner. the only small thing is that if stationary, the range close is not wide as its a tall thin model and it blows straight out. but have it turn and its good.

Air conditioning units and the Dyson Air Multiplier™ fan are two very different products that work in very different ways. An air conditioner refrigerates the air it supplies, allowing the air in the room to be made cooler than the ambient temperature outside. The Dyson Air Multiplier™ fan cools a person by moving air over and around them.
The Dyson TP04 Pure Cool tower is also a powerful fan. It is not an air conditioner. The Dyson TP04 can be used in conjunction with an air conditioner to circulate cold air further and faster saving you money and energy all while providing you with clean air.

Prior to my purchase I reviewed the details on the fan to see if it would be a good fit for me. Once I decided that I wanted it I went through with the purchase. I will start by saying it’s a little on the expensive side. Compared to most other fans the price tag far exceeds it’s competitors. However, you have to take into consideration that it’s an air purifier and has WiFi capabilities for remote use. The fan has 10 air speed settings, which is great for variable preferences. I personally wish that it had a higher fan speed at it’s top setting for more air flow. As mentioned earlier, it has WiFi capabilities which are awesome if you are technologically savvy. You have to download the Dyson app on your phone and connect the fan to your home WiFi. Once this is done, you can control the fan from your app, track your air quality, set schedules, see the room temperature, and much more. The feature I like most is that I was able to connect my Dyson Fan to Alexa and control it by voice. While there are a few cons to the fan overall I am very pleased with my purchase. I use it regularly and it works well. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the market for a fan that wants more than the basic fan provides.

I have a high sensibility to airborne pollen, mold and dust particles. I’ve used a few air purifiers before, but they did not achieve the results I desired. I own other Dyson products, and am very happy with them, so I had high expectations for this product. I assembled the item in just a few short minutes, then downloaded the Dyson app for my Android phone. The fan paired easily with my phone, so I was up and running in very little time. Straight away, the app informed me that my current atmosphere was ‘Good’. The app further provided me with the ambient room temperature, indoor humidity and the amount of particle matter it detected. The app will also provide the same information for outdoors. Actually, the amount of information this system detects is quite impressive. It detects: Smoke, bacteria, allergens, dust, mold spores, pollen, Nitrogen Dioxide and something they refer to as, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC). VOCs include harmful odors like cleaning products, paint, etc. I held off on writing this review because I really wanted to put this device through its paces. I keep the unit set on Auto Mode, and whenever the environment changes (opening doors or windows, cooking or cleaning), the purifier promptly ramps up the fan to clear the air. Another cool feature is the ability to change the airflow direction of the fan. This is nice when I don’t want the cool air blowing in my direction. The unit continues to purify the air, regardless of the airflow direction. The high price point is well earned here. With my susceptibility to airborne allergens, the Dyson TP04 Pure Cool air purifier is a must have. Highly recommended.

But, after unboxing the setup process was simple and easy. Downloaded the app on my phone got everything setup. I of course love the remote and not having to get up in the middle of the night. The unit is very sleek. The airflow is great, a little noisy in the higher settings, the night mode is also great since it makes the unit quieter at night. I believe this is great for people with allergies. I walked in from outside in heavily pollinated Atlanta, turned my fan on and immediately the fan gave an indication that pollutants and pollen was in the room. It cleared it out and went back to normal levels.
