One issues is that it gets clogged when you vacuum up hair or strands. The canisters can also be difficult to empty. We use a chop stick to easily clear it out.

The V6 is great for in between cleanings, quick clean ups or small areas as it does feature 20 minutes of constant suction in standard mode and 6 minutes on MAX power for tougher jobs as advertised. It may help to use MAX mode for picking up the heavier debris such as the dry cereal.

This cordless vacuum didn't last 10 minutes for me! Another down side to this vacuum is that you have to pull the trigger to keep the vacuum on. I really tried to love it but it couldn't get the job done for me. I returned it.

Thanks for your review. We’re sorry to hear that the V6 cordless did not seem to be a good fit your needs. It should be noted that Dyson states a 20 minute cleaning time on standard mode and 6 minutes on max power mode. Standard power mode is sufficient for most household pickups and allows the machine to utilize its full battery life. Max power mode is handy for the more heavy duty pickups and offers about twice the suction power. All machines default to max power mode out of the box.
In regards to the trigger, the V6 has a run time enhancing trigger – meaning that you are only using energy when you really want to be cleaning, rather than leaving it running when you’re moving furniture or moving from one room to the next.
Further, using a lithium ion battery pack, the V6 releases its charge evenly so there is no drop in performance. Other cordless machines may claim longer run times, but thanks to fading batteries, clogging bags and filters, they can quickly lose up to half their suction power in use.
