Product broken inside package-open before buying
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Item hard to find in store. They had very, very few MP3 Players other than Ipods in stock and only one of this particular item. Went home and opened and found that the product was broken inside the package plus the owner's manual that was listed on cover was not there. (BTW, we purchased this same item again at another store and there was no owner's manual in it either, although it is listed on cover as being in the box). The MP3 player worked fine when we got it loaded, but what a hassle to have to return it, and go elsewhere to buy again. We've bought this type in past and do like the brand and do know that it works very well when not broken.

Easy to use for a tech-challenged person
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife wanted a simple to use MP3 player she can wear at work and while exercising. She's not the most technologically-savvy person, so we wanted something with enough capacity to hold a lot of songs that would also be easy for her to program and operate. This did the trick!

Horrible design. Confusing button layout.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this looking for a cheap MP3 player to replace a broken iPod touch and I saw this and purchased it. This thing is has very confusing button layout because you have three similarly shaped buttons on the top which makes it hard to figure out which button to press. Also when I had all my music synced up some of the songs would not play and give me a "format error" message. In addition when I connected this to my PC I got a high pitched whining noise for whatever reason. Watching videos on a 1.8 inch screen is not very intuitive ether and it is very horrible to see videos on the screen, The FM radio didn't work for whatever reason (yes I had headphones plugged in). And the interface doesn't work with the button layout (where is the touchscreen?). Overall a very horrible product that I ended up returning it and getting the Sansa Clip Sport which is a better value for just $5 more. Stay away from this,

Skip this one
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Spend the extra 10 bucks and get the San Disc. Even if the battery would recharge it only has a 6 hour life. For someone like me who uses it all day, way insufficient. To say the controls are cumbersome would be an understatement.

Great small radio, otherwise would not buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for only two reasons; I was looking for a small radio much like a 6th generation ipod. I have gone through a number of 6th gen ipods and they eventually die because of a design flaw ( corrosion in the charging area ). I wanted a small pocket radio I could carry around and listen to at my desk at work and on the weekends; I have one ear constantly plugged into NPR/BBC. It was a little difficult to figure out a few things, many things not intuitive and there are three ways to turn the thing off. I googled the product and got a user manual that did not match the device (was close but many things different). Once I figured out how to turn the volume up and down I was good to go. You would think the - + sign buttons would turn the volume up and down, I was so used to the ipod nano. It would be better priced at $20 and I would buy again at that price just for the radio. A used iPod nano runs $50 or $70 new (too expensive for a radio). If you are looking for a mp3/podcast player, I would spend the money and buy another device. If you need a cheap, small mobile radio, this is it.

Don't buy this one!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This MP3 player shuffles the songs in the same order each time. I called customer support and they said I could change the playlist in my computer and re enter them into the player, but that doesn't make any sense. It holds 8Gigs of music but it plays the same ones over and over again. How lame is that?

Pure Junk
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1. Doesn't come with Manual. 2. So I download manual. 3. Manual is a joke. 4. Completely UNintuitive. 5. Called customer support. (I couldn't figure out how to do Random Play) 6. They walked me through how to do it. 7. It does Random when it wants to. Mostly it just repeats the same song over and over. 8. Besides the fact that it is brain-dead, it is also cumbersome Eg: when you turn it on, it is NOT set to music. It's set to Pictures. You have to scroll just to get to the menu to play Music. Then (see above), it may choose to play a song repeatedly no matter what you do to make it stop. There are enough bad reviews to make one wonder. There can't be THAT MANY lemons out there. Bad design, badly constructed. BAD!

A complete waste of money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very dissatisfied with this product. Yes, the music sounds great, which is, of course, important, but that's the only good thing about it. It really does have good sound. But the buttons are confusing; it's sort of hit-or-miss. There is no capability for shuffle (or "random", if you prefer) listening, so you have to listen to the singers in alphabetical order,---- from A to Z, which is kind of weird. And forget about the possibility of getting to "Z", either, because the power will run out before you get there. The power goes down to nothing fast. The volume thing is a pain-in-the-neck; the volume control is not on the outside, but you have to scan down with one of the buttons in order to change the volume. And good luck in finding the volume control, as well as other controls. It's very frustrating. If you like frustration, buy this product. And for those who want to delete things, it doesn't have the capability to delete songs. The buttons are confusing; it's easy to get confused on what button does what, and then the user will inevitably make a mistake and the whole thing goes back to the first song. Oh, and they generously give you four or five songs at the beginning. Why? I have no idea, but they are certainly not my idea of good music, and chances are, they are not yours, either. So summing it up, the worst things about this product is that there is no shuffle, the buttons are confusing in doing what would otherwise be the most simple of functions, and if you make a mistake, you're back to song #1, which is one of the four or five songs that they generously put on there for some reason. The best mp3 player I ever had was a Gigaware 4 GB one, which was well put-together and sturdy, but Gigaware doesn't seem to make mp3's anymore. My second favorite was a 4 GB Sandisk; not as many songs can be put on it as on an 8 GB one, naturally, but it's easy to use and there's a shuffle. I'm sorry that I bought this piece of junk. I bought it just because the store was near to where I live, but they didn't carry the 4 GB Sandisk, so I settled for this piece of garbage. I should have gone a little out of my way and gotten a 4 GB Sandisk instead. This product ticks me off, because I must have had a hole in my head to have purchased it. I'm not happy with this product, to say the least. The lesson learned is to always do research before purchase.

Not as advertised would stay away from
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First there was no manual in the box. After downloading from company site, the instructions did not apply to that player. So i could not keep the player on or use the touch screen. The lock screen icon did not appear as stated in the manual. Did not waste any more time .It's going back to the store . Was looking for a low cost player with the clip. I will try san disk player instead.

What a joke, really dissapointed.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this thing a couple of weeks ago during my vacations to the USA. I coudn't imagine Best Buy could sell such a low quality product, really dissapointed! The thing has an horrendous overall quality, the menus are irritating and it will turnoff about every 5 songs you try to play in it. Photos and video playback?! Ahahahaha, not on this one! And I can't even return it, since I'm back to Brasil and shipping it back would cost so much that just isn't worth it. Oh well, I have to deal with the loss of money.
