I tried to use it for my record player and you can barely hear the volume!

The R1280Ts have great sound, both in the near field and off axis. They are very accurate and articulate across their stated frequency response - all different instruments and voices are distinct, clear and clean. The high end has presence and clarity without harshness. Cymbals are beautifully reproduced. They excel at reproducing vocals, guitar, flute, cello and violin, etc. Bass is tight and very good for their size with an F3 of 75Hz. They do lack the deep low end of bigger enclosures and/or sub woofer - so no T. rex stomps or earthquake rumbles. These match up well with a Blue Snowball, or equivalent. For low frequency content like bass guitar, kick drum thunk, or if your guitarist does dive bombs into bass frequencies, they are adequate but not great. If you have high end mics and interface, you will miss some sonic content. Overall - happy camper :: so very much better than "budget" speakers at a cost far less than high end gear. If your workstation requires audiophile monitors, and you can pony up serious $$$, then do that. Otherwise, these will do the job quite well for a lot less $$$.

These are nice little speakers. Great sound and attractive with the retro wood tone. The size is perfect for a bookshelf or console table. I use them with a record player and enjoy the fullness of the sound. And you can’t beat the price!

Wood grain finish gives modern look while also not standing out too much. Sound quality is fantastic, especially considering the price.

I bought these speakers to go with my turntable. They were super easy to connect and set up right out of the box. Sound great for the price and also look nice with the rest of my set up.

They work very well and are easy to set up. They have very good bass and sound quality. I enjoy how they look without the cover on them but that’s just me.

Great set of speakers. Easy to hook up to a turntable for my daughter in her apartment. Nice remote. Bass is very clear as well. Not overpowering.

I consider myself a bit of a audiophile. You can’t beat these for the price. They are quality speakers. High/mid/lows clear and responsive. I have them connected to my pc which I use for games and music creation. These speakers fill my bedroom with clear and clean sound from what feels like 1 source instead of 2. They could easily charge $200 or more. Edifier has a new customer for life. The only con I can find is that you have to point the remote directly at the main speaker for it to properly work. I really hate wires but these have a better frequency range then the Bluetooth versions which made my decision for me. I do not regret this purchase and neither will you. Stop reading and buy these.

Like the sound and ease of hook up. Would be better if power switch was easier to get to.

Bought these for my PC and was just amazed by the rich sound. Deep bass and crisp highs, was not disappointed. For the price you can't beat them.

Wow! I am simply awestruck at these Edifier speakers, they are truly awesome! I was completely surprised by the sound of these small speakers, as they filled my living room with surprisingly big sound....
