The speakers are used on a TV to replace the tinny TV speakers. The line (RCA) outputs on the TV were used which required the volume control on the speakers to be at max. The vol control on the speakers have no stops! When the speakers are turned off, they DO NOT remember the vol setting. I just leave them on 24/7. The wood case is nice but the color of the grill (light grey) is a miss-match. I looked online for a brown or tan grill, but all that is available is a black grill directly from Edifier. The sound quality is much better than the TV speakers.

The dual audio inputs was a nice touch but it would have been nice if there was a switcher. The included remote was a nice touch as well, though a source switch would have been eelcome here. Overall the response was deeper than I expected and the sound quality punches above its weight.

For the price, these bookshelf speakers sound excellent. If you’re looking for great starter speakers to enjoy your favorite tunes, these are a solid choice. I bought them as a gift for my 12-year-old son, who’s recently gotten into vinyl, and they’ve been a huge upgrade from what he was using before.

Got speakers for my sons bday as he is now into records. The record player I got him didn’t come with speakers. Saw these first in Amazon and then saw they were at Best Buy. Not only were these cheaper at Best Buy but the person that helped us also pointed out that he had them for his record player!! I had to remember how to set up speakers like back in the day but it was easy to setup AND THE SOUND IS AMAZING!!! So worth the price and then some!! Also if you are a total member like myself it comes with the warranty for 2 yrs if something happens

Really good sound quality for my home office/gaming setup. No complaints for sound or size, the only issue I had was that the 3.5mm to R+L channel cable included with the product was faulty; however, their customer support fixed the issue quickly.

Excellent acoustic, sounds very cleaned no echos. They save room because are small.

The Edifier - R1280T Powered Bookshelf Speakers are a fantastic addition to any setup. They look great on the desk with their wood-grain finish and provide a very good, clean sound for both music and general computer use. I got these speakers to connect with a new record player. These speakers were super easy to set up, they do have a great physical power switch on the back, but also has a remote to control the volume from afar. I would recommend these if you’re not looking for a super high end speaker setup, they are nice and clear, no rattle or shakiness at higher volumes either.

Pretty solid for the price point. I bought these for my JVC record player with phono/RCA output, and these work great. Came with cables for RCA to RCA and RCA to Aux, along with speaker wire for the secondary passive speaker. These speakers do not support Bluetooth, so you would need another adapter if that's what you're looking for. Other than that, easy hook up to my preamp and record player and sounds great!

I bought these for work based on the reviews for it. I love listening to music, watching YouTube, movies, and TV in my free time. I use a pair of older Bose computer speakers that cost almost $400 that I bought like 3 years ago. These things blow those out of the water. I'm telling you, if you're looking for a serious listening experience, this is it. The look great, good build, fantastic sound. For those of you worried about the bass, it's definitely there, but its no sub woofer.

These are awesome small speakers! Great range of sound and tone. Wonderful lows for the size yet great balance. Also plenty of volume for the size! Highly recommend!

These speakers have no business being as good as they are. The sound stage at ear height is just unbelievable. There's enough low end to convey the sound of bass, but you won't feel it in your bones. You'll want to get the separate sub for that. But every other aspect is fantastic. Grab these if you're mostly listening to music or video in a smaller space. I'd pass on these for gaming just due to the lack of bass punch.

The speakers are so appealing to the eyes and the sound quality is crisp, clear and balanced. I bought the brown marron one and it complements with the decor of the house and connects so easily with Macbook. These speakers are worth every penny!
