    I bought an upgraded vent kit with 2 rigid corners. The installer just used the flexible hose, plus he did not leave me the parts he didn’t use! If I wanted just a cheap flexible vent hose O would have purchased that which would have been CONSIDERABLY LESS than this one.

    Shoddy installation - had to re-do

    I usually like to do things like this myself, but I decided to go for the "expert installation". This is what an expert installation looks like. I guess they couldn't get the top rigid fitting into my wall (I was able to, no problem) and so they put it in halfway and slapped some tape on it, haphazardly. Terrible. I took it off to re-do it, and now I am spackling my wall and repainting it where the tape pulled the paint off. They did not use the bottom rigid fitting (which I paid) for, and instead went directly into the dryer exhaust port. I don't know where that fitting is. They must have taken it with them or thrown it away. And then did not quite get the clamp on straight, so it's pulling away at the bottom. Why offer this service if it can't be done correctly. Honestly would have rather they just drop it off.

    DO NOT USE We bought a high-end washer and dryer from Best Buy, the purchase process was smooth. Installation - not so much and now we're out all the money we spent. One of the installers was rude and not communicative. They installed the washer and it leaks, the dryer vent wasn't even connected. They put the wrong hose on our washer and even though we caught it within an hour of installation, when we called they said they couldnt have someone come out for a week. So they took my old washer and dryer, didnt hook up my new ones that I paid for installation, all new hoses and the warranty and now we're just out. Too bad sorry. And if you expect to go back to the local store where you made the purchase, FORGET about it. They contract all that out so they wont even talk to you. Never again, we'll go Lowes or Home Depot next time.

    Love that there came early just wish there installed the dryer correctly the back of it is not installed properly heart is coming form the back of it the item is great just bad installed service

    Best buy needs help with their choice in delivery and installation technicians. Looks like a box cutter or something cut right through the top and front a brand new dryer. They did carry it up to the 2nd floor and hooked it up correctly as far as i can tell.

    The 2 guys who installed it were very nice, but didnt fasten it on properly. We ended up having to un-stack it as it wasnt stable, and then found out that when they were stacking it they had badly dented the top of the washer. Rather disappointing for the amount we spent on them.

    They refused to install it due to a rusty faucet, and it being a snug fit. I had to hook it up myself when I got home the following day. If you have to pay $100-$200 for someone to install a washer and dryer they should be able to change out a faucet.

    We ordered this on May 29. The first delivery day July 3 they called the night before to let us know it's still on backorder! The second delivery was for August 7 that was s total NO SHOW the appliances were not put on the truck for delivery. August 11 They were supposed to be here between 12 and 6 and they didn't get it to a little after 7. They didn't want to do the install because they were saying something about the floor which nothing was wrong with it. So today My husband and his best friend installed my washer and dryer I called and canceled the insulation That was scheduled for tomorrow. Mentioned we ordered a stove and a refrigerator and they didn't do the installs on them when they were supposed to.

    Technicians installed the dryer fine but made no effort to center washer & dryer in available space. The vent should have been shortened to go directly out the wall but the entire hose was used so dryer can’t be pushed back and door hits it.

    Beware- Best Buy does NOT send an installer. They have the delivery guys do it and they are in a rush and don't check their work. After they carelessly installed dryer, and I PAID for installation, Best Buy said they would send an installer out to redo it. So, does that mean I paid for professional installation and didn't get it, so now they are sending out the real thing??

    I just bought a new washer and dryer and ordered the professional installation with it. I have a tight installation so I ordered the recommended Smart Choice vent kit with the 2 90 degree elbows. I wasn't home to watch them do the installation. They only attached one of the elbows to the dryer but connected the hose directly to the outlet vent in the wall and then pushed the dryer closer to the wall. The hose is now bent. The dryer I purchased has a flow sense indicator to let me know if the exhaust is restricted. Guess what comes on now when I run the dryer. Now I need to go to Home Depot and buy another elbow since they didn't leave any of the parts they didn't use. Hopefully the hose is still useable. Also need to pull the dryer out from the wall to use it until I get the elbow. So if you have a tight installation, make sure they use both elbows or you'll need to be like me and go and buy additional parts and fix it yourself.

    This is not even a professional installation they could not even put the washer and dryer in correctly so they just left them like that now I have to pay someone else to do it right this is totally not right as the installation was done wrong just because it was a free install they needed to take the time to get it done the right way i will never again buy from this company as for the customer service is horrible and they don't care about the customer only just as long as they get paid this company is just looking to make money on you and the service is bad i suggest you shop elsewhere for your wants don't buy here you will be disappointed with there service

    The insulation was not completed because they brought out the wrong part . I returned the part back and tried to Oder with Best Buy which they don’t carry order the part from Amazon and dryer is not complete.

    Horrible! They did not arrive in an entire day for the appointment that was made multiple times! Then they installed the washer with the travel bolts and packing tape all over it. After running it one time and it literally wobbled its way out of the laundry room and about pulled the hose off the wall. It scratched up my floor now Bestbuy installation won't even call me back. They even setup new appointments to fix things and then they still never show up. I'm not sure what is going on BestBuy but this reminds me of Comcast customer service many years ago. Never again

    Dryer Installation

    My Whirlpool Dryer was installed by Best Buy a little more than two months ago. It stopped working last week and wouldn't turn on. I also smelled something burning. Since it was past 30 days I called Whirlpool directly because there is a year warranty. The Whirlpool service guy came out and discovered it have been incorrectly installed. The screws hadn't been fastened securely to the terminal block. Over time this caused it to short which in turned caused a small fire. Whirlpool said it's not covered under warranty because it's the installer's fault, to which I agree. I called Best Buy and after being transferred around and begging for help, the best they can do is send someone out in a week. So it will be nearly two weeks I will be with no dryer, all because some installation guy couldn't do his job properly.

    Installer was unqualified for installing a dryer. He couldn't make the exhaust vent kit work and then decided to reuse the existing vent parts. This weekend, while I completed the vent hose install and found the clamp that secures the power cord to dryer was loose. Upon further investigation the clamp was laid into place. Installer (?) didn't have clamp assembled correctly. Screws were screwed into threaded half of clamp and then the other side of clamp was wedged onto the screws so it wouldn't fall off. So I re-installed power cord clamp and the vent hose to complete an installation I paid to have professionally done.

    I was expecting the techs to install the dryer’s new vent tubing but they both insisted that what was purchased would not fit or work for this connection. I would need to contact the store to refund me my purchase. In the end I didn’t want to argue with them, they left the dryer un installed and me to figure it out on my own. I had to have a friend come over to help me due to my disability. Ultimately the tubing was just fine and installed per packaging instructions without issues. The techs did not earn a tip from me this day which I usually offer to all hard working individuals.

    Installation Sloppy, Failed

    Delivery Technicians were friendly, but not professional; and they did not wear their face masks properly. Their work was sloppy. While trying to avoid using the 90-degree elbow dryer exhaust duct, they damaged one end of the semi-rigid duct. They ripped off the damaged portion, tried again, but then finally decided to use the 90-degree elbow. They ended up getting things set up in an acceptable fashion (for that moment). But the next day, after only 2-3 dryer runs, the damaged semi-rigid duct completely broke and separated from the 90-degree elbow which remained attached to the dryer.
