I noticed that that date on the plastic that protected my dryer had a date of 1/2018 and was dusty. It had to been sitting in their warehouse waiting on someone to purschase. My washer had a date two month prior. I guess the sit in the warehouse until sold. Other than that. I love them both.The guys that installed were very knowledgeable, polite and made sure I was satisfied before leaving. They made sure that my washer and dryer were level with each other. I bought brand new set at the same time.

This whole experience was a nightmare. It took a few weeks to get a delivery date. Then, on the appointed day, the delivery guy showed up 4 hours early and just dropped off the machine. He said he wouldn’t do the installation or haul-away; that would be done by others who were going to show up at the originally appointed time, later that day. He dropped off the clothes dryer along with a power cord (220 V) and outdoor ventilation system for my 110 V indoor dryer. When I called about it later in the day, he lied about it and said no one would let him in. NOT TRUE. There is a staff of 17 doormen, porters and concierges. The installation guys never showed. I called BestBuy and asked when they would be there. They acknowledged that I had had an appointment for installation but basically didn’t care and could schedule another day. Not later that same day, not the next day, but whenever. Two days later the installation guys did actually show up but said they would not do the haul away of the old machine. I showed them the work order I had which showed that I had paid for it. They didn’t care. They just turned and left. Meanwhile, I got an email saying the installation and haul away had been completed. Over the course of the next few days I had numerous phone calls and online chats with various Best Buy employees. I get that stuff happens. Drivers get sick, trucks break down. BUT NO ONE CARED! No one took ownership and people, not just the delivery driver, blatantly lied. My botched situation was treated like a perfectly normal chain of events and they actually seemed surprised that I was upset about it. I can’t imagine how one company was able to find and hire so many people who just don’t care. Meanwhile the dryer was sitting in the hallway with the incorrect power cord and ventilation system. I chatted with BestBuy agents once again and was assured that the correct cord would be sent. They then ordered the EXACT same one AGAIN! I tried to explain that GE does not recommend 220 V power cords for 110 V appliances, but it seemed to go over their heads. I took the cord and ventilation system back to the local store (which doesn’t sell the actual dryer) and they refused to allow me to return them. I still had to get the appropriate ventilation system. Eventually, I hired professionals to install the system and bypassed BestBuy completely.

Had a very narrow entry way to get to the basement. The delivery men got it down, hooked up, leveled and ready to go. Then removed my old dryer.

The installation service was great. The guys called ahead, were very friendly, careful and professional. No issues at all with the installation and the guys also shared some helpful info about our new appliance.

The gentlemen that installed the dryer were careful not to harm anything in my home and made sure everything worked properly before leaving me.
