Don’t buy this for PS5. Will not work.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wasted hours of my day trying to get this set up for my ps5. Monitor defaults to 60hz. Settings on ps5 are correct for running 120. Even when i connect the monitor to pc and manually adjust monitor settings when i connect the the ps5 it reverts to 60hz. Do not buy.

Not worth any money
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only a couple months after purchasing this product the monitor will no longer power on. Didn’t receive any damage or anything, just decided that powering on was too much work for it. Skip on this piece of thrash.

Gets the job done
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good gaming monitor. It has a great picture. Blacks are good too, but there is backlight bleed through all round the outside edges on mine. It comes with a bunch of presets for the picture, but I found using the "user" setting and tweaking the options is what's required to get the most out of it. The picture options are limited, and I had to go into my Nvidia control panel to fine tune my picture. One complaint I have is that the monitor is dim. Even turning the brightness all the way up and playing with contrast didn't work out to my satisfaction. Where this monitor does shine is the 165hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. I play a lot of high action games like racing, FPS, and fighting games. I did not notice any ghosting or screen tearing. I did try to use the speakers at one time on the monitor, my advice, don't. The RGB light on the back is also very dim. In my situation, the back of the monitor is close to the wall. I could not notice if it was on or off. Overall it's a decent gaming monitor that will get the job done. Likes: 1.) Solid metal base, no wiggles. 2.) High refresh rate and 1ms response time 3.) Comes with both DP and Hdmi cables Dislikes: 1.) Too dim. Not enough backlight. 2.) Slight backlight bleed through around the outside edges 3.) Speakers are practically useless

Rather average
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The moment I opened the box, I was disappointed. Who knew it would take so many screws (8) to fasten a flat panel to a rather unremarkable stand. And instead of a fold down tab to screw into the base, there was another screw. I have several other "gaming" monitors with lesser specs than this thing and they performed as well or better. Had I not known this was a "gaming" monitor, I would have thought it was just a run of the mill display. I had heard that Element monitors were good and was excited to try this, but this one was not better than a Dell, Alienware, or even an HP Omen monitor. And all of those were superior in adjustability (this thing only pivots up and down - no height adjustment). I found the buttons on the bottom of the screen to be oddly placed - not at the edge of either side - no indicator light that is visible (the RGB is on the back so the wall can see it). The buttons are far near the back not near to the actual icons on the bottom. Just weird. I would recommend this monitor only if it was on sale and only if you needed a monitor - for gaming, they are better ones.

An excellent value choice!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Monitors have come a long, long way from back in the day of the big, old 21" Viewsonic I used to own in 2001. This monitor is very lightweight and has a small bezel, giving a very good picture out of the box and an even better one if you take a little time to adjust and play with the settings. This thing is really packed in well when you open it up and it's excellent to get it all screwed together (you'll need a small Phillips head screwdriver). Putting it together is easy, basically you put the base on and screw in six screws to it, put the cover over the end, route your cables through the back side and you're ready to rock. Booting it up, yes you see that big ol' blue splashscreen for a brief moment and no I don't think you can disable it (although perhaps something to hope for in a firmware update perhaps?) but it's up and gone in a split second so no worries. Once into Windows 11 everything worked without installing any drivers and the picture was nice. Its set to be fairly bright and so I adjusted it slightly (I'm in a dark room) and after a few minutes of fiddling with the settings I got it up and going. Nvidia Geforce did recognize the Freesync aspect and I was able to set it to 165Hz, which my Geforce RTX 3070 was able to handle with aplomb. All in all the picture is very good for the price and I think this monitor will do a lot of good for those on a budget...and with the cost of graphics cards today most of us do find ourselves cutting costs a little here and there. I am using this as my secondary monitor on my secondary PC in a different room from my main PC, which has a 38" Alienware (which of course this monitor cannot compete with but then the Alienware did cost me about 3 to 4 times as much so...). I have been playing games on it such as The Division 2, Doom Eternal, Call of Duty Vanguard and Diablo 3 and never have noticed any ghosting or artifacts of any kind. The bezel could be slightly thinner is about my only real issue and that's a minor one I think. All in all this is an EXCELLENT value monitor and will make a lot of folks happy who buy it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Not m4 10mm for the bottom screw holes
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this monitor a few years ago. Just more deciding to mount it and looked at the manual to see i needed m4 10mm so i went and bought them but they still don’t work. I’m going to make them work seeing i bought them already but they are a very tight fit that doesn’t screw all the way down. But over all the monitor is great. Minus the fact it’s something Off with the bottom screw holes cause the screws i bought fit the top holes but give a big issue with the bottom two.

Super smooth 1440p@165 on a budget!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Element has been making budget friendly TVs for a while, so it’s interesting to see how their monitors hold up. This 27” IPS screen is sharp at 1440p, with a wide viewing angle, good brightness, and eye popping color rendition. Through the DisplayPort 1.2 input, it’s capable of running 1440p at 165hz, while HDMI is “limited” to 144hz. I doubt you could tell the speed difference between the two inputs, so just use what’s convenient. It’s Freesync compatible, and I’m happy to report it works with NVIDIA’s G-Sync as well. Playing Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5, Doom Eternal, and The Ascent (all at 2560x1440@165) was an eye opening experience, with sharp detail, bright color, and super smooth video. It felt like a whole new experience vs my old 1080p monitor and I’m honestly a bit surprised my computer and graphics card kept up. I doubt the frame rates will stay this high going to 4k, so QHD isn’t a bad compromise between speed and graphics. And while I’m ecstatic about playing on this monitor, it isn’t without a few flaws. The built-in speakers are convenient, but also sound awful and therefore don’t get used. There’s some backlight bleed at the bottom edges, but it’s only noticeable in really dark scenes. Natively, color temp runs on the cool side and despite adjusting it a fair bit, I think it still runs a little cool. I might just need to tinker with the settings more, but it doesn’t take away from the overall image quality. Overall, Element is offering a solid QHD gaming monitor at a budget friendly price. It puts out beautiful, fast video that’s excellent for gaming and a noticeable improvement over 1080p. It has a few flaws, but playing Doom Eternal and Halo Infinite in 2560x1440 @165hz will quickly make you forget about them. This is an excellent entry level QHD gaming monitor and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to upgrade from 1080p. - Sharp 1440p picture - Good color rendition - Smooth and fluid picture - Freesync compatible with NVIDIA G-Sync - 1 Display Port 1.2 input - 2 HDMI inputs - Good value - Rear light ring dim - Speakers are meh - Thin bezel - Runs a little cool - Backlight bleed near bottom corner edges

Great for work and play!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this monitor for gaming as well as my work as a graphic designer and it is amazing. When I'm gaming, the high refresh rate and resolution means I get the most out of my graphic card. When I'm working, the bright, crisp image makes my life easier.

Great Gaming Monitor at Excell Price Point
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Element 27” Gaming Monitor is a solid budget-friendly gaming monitor. Assembly of the stand consisted of 9 screws and takes a bit of an effort to attach. Stand has adjustable -5 to 15 degrees tilt. RGB ring on the rear of the monitor has a nice color cycle. Solid feature set includes 165Hz refresh rate, FreeSync Technology, and a 1440p display. Ports include DP 1.2, HDMI 2.0, and HDMI 1.4. Note that the maximum refresh rate for HDMI 2.0 is 144hz and that FreeSync only works on display port. Viewing angles are good both vertically and horizontally, but picture becomes washed out when viewed diagonally. Recommend setting the overdrive to “median” to counteract the slight ghosting. IPS panel emits a bluer hue than my other monitors, and backlight bleed is noticeable on a dark background. Quality is better than VA or TN panels. Monitor is not marketed as an HDR monitor, although Windows detects it as such. Do not bother with enabling HDR, as the monitor is not designed to display an HDR picture. Detail is lost in dark and bright areas with HDR enabled. Overall, the Element 27” Gaming Monitor is affordable, yet feature rich.

So close to nailing it
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Element Electronics - Element 27" IPS LED 1440p QHD FreeSync 165hz 1ms Gaming Monitor is nice but not great. I wanted to love it, but it's just a like for me. When in-game, I noticed a lot of fluter in graphics. But it will do for gaming. For entry-level, it's fine.

An amazing value
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An amazing monitor that ticks a lot of boxes. 1440p resolution with a 165hz frame rate, built-in speakers, multiple inputs and a small footprint make this the monitor to buy. Playing Rocksmith on my Mac using the Steam app was a pleasure. The frets and tabs scrolled without any indication of stutter, and the hi-def picture was astonishing. The monitor gets plenty bright without adjustment. I love having the built-in speakers (although they aren’t really something to write home about) for when I don’t want to turn on the stereo. They get the job done for watching YouTube videos or streaming video via ESPN+. Speaking of which, watching a hockey game using ESPN+ was a sublime experience. The picture flows smoothly, and even at the close range there was no pixelization. Colors were bright and defined while playing Forza Horizon 5. The cars and maps looked simply amazing via the Element monitor. Made my Asus gaming monitor look cheap in comparison, and it was about the same money a year ago. The Witcher Wild Hunt bathtub scene on the Element was worth the price of the monitor alone. As you might be able to tell, while I won’t give you a ton of technical terms, I do love the Element monitor. It has high-level ability, demonstrating how far technology has come in gaming monitors. Highly recommended!

Solid But Not Specatular
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are looking for a solid but not greatest monitor for pc or console gaming then. Here is your new monitor. This is a no frills works solid monitor. It does have some speakers which is nice even if they do not sound good its nice having something if you don’t have any external speakers to have something, One issue is both of the hdmi ports are not the same. Especially if you are connecting a game console only one the hdmi ports supports 1440p at 120hz. Using it my Xbox the picture quiality was solid and there was no screen tearing or significant blur on the image. Color accuracy is pretty solid, black levels are not super great but it does the job. If you need a basic monitor that you might sometimes connect a console to this might be good for you
