This is the story of a human boy raised by Santa's elves. It's not a knee slapping belly laugh of a movie but it has its moments. Ferrell does what he can with the role to good effect and James Cann plays it straight. The SDR BluRay has excellent color, good sound and a very stable image. Worth a Holiday look.

I love the movie elf, it’s one of my favorites. What I didn’t like was the packing at Best Buy. It made it hard to tell if it had the watch movies anywhere on there. It doesn’t have it so beware. The price was nice and used a reward card.

Great movie with a nice case. However, this is only a Blu-ray Disc. There is no standard dvd or download included.

Have never really been a Will Farrel Sam but out of all his movies, this one is pretty funny. Great Christmas movie to give to someone who loves Will Farrel

OK for kids, but very dull for adults. Typically cute elf costumes. Bob Newhart, as an adoptive parent, is the best part.

I like Will Ferrell, but this movie was not one of his best movies. Out of 10, I'd give it a 3.

For the price, its a great deal. No extra features

We came to Best Buy because we know that we will get the best products for the best price and usually the best service. The person who assisted us was only interested in selling us a washer. Fortunately we had already researched and decided on the type and model. Although once we arrived we discovered a better model which cost us several hundred dollars more but it was worth it. We are extremely happy with our new washer and hopefully it will be our last.

Will Farrell is a love-him-or-hate-him kind of comic force. Those who tend to love him in many of his other roles should love this one as well; those of us in the other camp, this movie is more palatable than the average Farrell film. This movie in particular has gotten a lot of rave reviews among friends and family, but I wouldn't go that far... still, a handful of genuine laugh-out-loud moments make this worth anybody's time, at least once.

I've consistently heard Elf listed as one of the greatest Christmas movies of all time, some have even said it rivals Home Alone in terms of movies the whole family will enjoy. To each their own I guess. Kids were not nearly as into as they were with Home Alone. I thought it was an enjoyable movie, but definitely not in the league with Kevin McCallister imo.

Of course this movie is a classic Christmas movie. The only issue I have is that the dang "digital version" of the movie is only accessible through the Ultra Violet system/app. My family is all Apple/iOS and this means we can't just pull it up on the Apple TV and the kids (7 year old boy and 3 year old girl) will literally never watch it on their device because it isn't accessible on the "TV" app (formerly Videos app.) Super annoying!

To me, Will Ferrell is an acquired taste, which I don't really have any more. This movie has a few good moments, mostly because they are down-right ridiculous, but I feel like most of the comedy is forced and not that funny. However, if you like Will Ferrell and his style of humor, then you probably will enjoy it.
