I as well as others bought this Stream Deck mainly for streaming purposes, but it's also able to be used as sort of macros for your computer, useful for coders or editors. I'd recommend this if your really invested into streaming and not much more.

If I didn't have this, I think I would be lost, but it make setting up so easy switching around on OBS

There aren't many competitors to the stream deck unfortunately, you can try setting macros on a separate keyboard or using other similar devices but none of them seem to work right, and none of them have the same integration with other products like the streamdeck has. Unfortunately Elgato knows this and that's why the price of the stream deck is as high as it is. It does look nice which is a great bonus, the keys themselves feel very cheap and incredibly mushy but that's kind of nit picky. If you've just started streaming and are looking into a stream deck, I would prioritize other things first, like a better webcam/mic/pc etc. A great alternative to the stream deck is the stream deck mobile app which costs $3 a month I believe? and it does everything the stream deck does but on your phone. It's the only true alternative to the stream deck.

Couldn't have found a better device to make game streaming a lot more simple and convenient.

Initially I purchased the 6 button version that was on very low price at time more of a spontaneous buy on the deal and didn’t really know what to do with or understand the benefits (especially not being a YouTube Streamer) so it sat in the box almost 6 months until I came across a instructional YouTube video educating me on how to use it for keyboard shortcuts, because my Logitech K350 keyboard “SetPoint” window software doesn’t allow you to use the [Window-Key] ... i.e. “[Win] +[ Alt ] + [ F ] “ it’s what I have to used when connecting full screen to my [ Shadow-Cloud Gaming Windows PC ] Mapping that keyboard shortcut to the Stream-Deck worked like sliced bread... so I keep the 6-button and found I needed more real estate cuz I was hooked fast forward to today I now I have “21” buttons at my disposal

Great deck to enhance all levels of play!! Definitely recommend this if you are on the fence about buying!

Works as advertised, easy to set up and can be connected to a non powered hub.
