I plugged my DSLR camera into the Cam Link 4K, and plugged the Cam Link into my MacBook Pro. The computer, without any drivers, saw the Cam Link as an additional webcam. It works fine.

Works great and very easy to figure out. Never cheap out on cam link devices!

Plug and play has never been so true. Device comes with an additional usb extender to properly plug into any USB port. I personally use for streaming live on twitch. Feel free to stop by to see the quality twitch.tv/twizted_ I highly recommend taking a look at different streams to see which quality camera you like best. I use the lumix g7. Also recommended for budget, high quality streams.

If you're looking for a capture card that JUST does it's job and you're tight with money, this card will do it's job for sure. But if you're a FPS gamer or you care about how long it takes for you to move your joy stick on your controller or to move your mouse and see that in real time, save up money for a better card. The time it takes to translate the image from the source to whatever your capture card is plugged in to is going to feel sluggish. It's a USB capture card, so I'm hoping your hopes for this card weren't high before you read this review to begin with. If you're looking for minimal input delay, go get a HDMI in to HDMI out capture card. I don't recommend this card much for gaming. Anything else? Absolutely.

Plugged into a 2020 MacBook pro and using a Panasonic GX85 for direct recording/streaming. It's very simple and does exactly what it's supposed to do. They're in high demand due to lockdown, I bought the day it was back in stock and it was already sold out before the day was over.

It's cheaper than the other options out there but still slightly more than I expected. I spent hours and hours looking for what this does and it was right in front of my nose just down the street. If you are using OBS, expect an audio and video syncing up issue. Luckily, I found a YouTube tutorial to fix it. Would buy again if I end up adding a third camera to my live-streamed podcast.

Plug and play. Detects camera and solid connection. No issues

This little device is a real gem. It has made using my Nikon camera as a webcam a simple process of plugging in and turning on. I never could get Nikon's webcam software to work, and this solution also frees up a needed HDMI port on my computer's video interface.

After waiting months for this particular item it has came to become the best thing and the best part of my live streaming experience the quality is exception and the value is well worth it I highly recommend this particular item or anybody that wants to get into video live streaming to El Gato to Best buy I say thank you finally.

Works great to handle my digital camcorder as a second camera for my twitch streaming set up - Harbinger50 - for my workout angle. Plug and play. Just make sure to plug it directly into an on-board/motherboard connection. Tried through a hub and it would freeze up. Since switching to the direct usb3 port... no problems

Was able to work with Canon Rebel T6i and ZOOM was able to detect the camera. The item does seem to heat up real fast.

Such a simple way to connect your DSLR to your computer. I am currently using this device hookup as a webcam and a streaming hook up and I have enjoyed it immensely. I think it’s so simple to connect your device to and the included software (which you need to download from the site but free) really helps!

While you are looking all grainy and terrible, my image on zoom is silky smooth and pro. People be like, "Who is that man on zoom? And also, why do I look like my 2004 myspace profile pictures while he's over here looking like a million bucks!?" And how do I respond? "Thanks elgato."
