    This is an excellent product if you already have a camera which outputs "clean" HDMI. It will impress participants in video calls and gives you an edge on "presence" compared to webcams.

    I used this to hook up my Sony A6400, definitely did not disappoint using for face-time calls and discord! Its also a plus allowing you to use a mic on the camera for audio!

    I use the Cam Link to add my Sony A6400 as a webcam for conference calls and live streams. With proper lighting, this makes my footage look like I’m broadcasting from a studio. Great product added to my setup.

    Good to use on older cameras, newer cameras do not need this anymore if they have a USB C port.

    Im sure it does what it needs to, but just make sure you have a good cable. I think mine was faulty which caused green snow on the screen. May try again later in the future.

    It does what it’s supposed to do, connects the hdmi output on my camera to the USB port on my computer. It’s not the cheapest option, but not the most expensive either. So, all in all, a win.

    Reliable and works on laptops that don't have dedicated graphics cards. I find that it still uses my laptop resources. Sometimes even running a ppt becomes sluggish with this plugged in.

    Nice bit of hardware that is also hackable if so desired (to change the output formats in hardware, rather than through a lossless software conversion in ffmpeg). Really nice bit of compact gear.
