Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.As a long time Logitech Brio user, I was hoping that the lack of autofocus on the FaceCam would eliminate the frequent and frustrating lens adjustments which temporarily blurred my image whenever I shifted in my chair. And while the FaceCam does eliminate that issue, I just never managed to get the overall visual fidelity to match up with the Logitech. I returned this camera and picked up a FaceCam Pro, and am SO glad I did! Overall this is a very good webcam, but at the premium price point, probably isn’t the best value for many users.

Looked it up seems to be a common problem with the device, some Youtube vids just suggest a different high power cable but ill say ive tried a lot of things anc it just didnt work for me sadly.

The one hiccup was it always failed to save the camera setting to the camera. It was a main feature is the camera. If you have this issue contact elgato support. They will send you a copy of an older firmware version and instruct you how install it. Send rolling back to an old version then back to the latest fixed the problem.

Unusable on M1 Macs

I have tried this on my M1 Mac mini and my M1 Pro 16" MacBook Pro and the video stutters and is useable. For some reason it works perfect on my Intel MacBook Pro, but is terrible on the M1's. I have tried all different USB ports and cables, and on both Big Sur and Monterey to no luck.

Froze after one use

After I turned it on once and tried different programs, it freezes on all of them. I even used the camera hub from Elgato but still freezes. Will be returning this. I prefer the Camlink from elgato instead of this if you have a DSLR.

Buggy software

Image is gltchy or just doesnt show. Also uses a lot of resources on fhe computer when in use. I would skip until they make improvements to the software.
