My son asked for this for Christmas and was very excited to get it, but hasn't been using it, due to it not having a mic. Unfortunatly, I did not know this and there was nothing to indicate that when I was looking on line.

The Elgato Game capture works as advertised. My son has been very pleased with it. It was necessary to use the older software though. The upgrade was not a positive one.

I got this to record my gameplay footage and then upload it online or edit it, but it was pretty buggy and I wasn't impressed with it for the price. The included software would only work some of the time and what should have been a rather effortless set up was a pain because for some reason I had to keep unplugging and plugging in the cables to the unit for it to work. I've heard that this is the best thing on the market, but honestly, I'd prefer to just use my Playstation 4's native recording software. If this is the only option it can be okay. I may have gotten faulty cables or it may just not be Mac friendly.

I love the Elgato HD60 but my laptop does not run it too well so i get skips and glitches in my gameplay. Also you need an elgato chat link if you have an XboxOne and nee to record your voice plus chat. Note it will not work with wireless headsets. Other than that this product is awesome for recording gameplay, streaming and making youtube videos with that gameplay. Highly recommend

Overall, I am happy with the Elgato. I did run into some issues streaming to Facebook and contacted their customer support. They were fantastic and resolved my issues very quickly. The Elgato is small, sleek, and does a solid job. The software is a little odd and the Sound Capture audio software kind of takes over your Windows audio settings but that's my only complaint. I've streamed SNES and Nintendo Switch games at this point on Twitch and Facebook.

This is a nifty little unit when it comes to the PS network or Xbox Live. Awesome for sharing your accomplishments (especially since it does it in HD).

Awesome unit. Only thing missing is support for the PS3, but that's what the Elgato - Game Capture HD is for.

Originally I was aiming for the regular version but the store was all out. But it works great! Great upgrade from my old game capture device!
