Quick to set up and easy to use. A little bit pricey, good for first time purchasers

This is my first capture card and I have to say it works great. I connect it to my MacBook pro to OBS and it works like a charm. You might run into issues if your not using a supported USB cable like I did. Most issues i ran into had more to do with OBS or other software like Elgato's screen capture program which still doesn't support this specific device.

This is in replacement of an older Elgato and the quality on this is amazing! If you're a streamer, this item is for you! I have also called Elgato support to get it connected into OBS and they were more than professional and helpful throughout the process. Just make sure your PC 4k Capture for this device is updated often so their are no performance issues.

Yeah so you can’t hook this up to your Xbox/PS and then be streaming flawlessly the next day. You have to end up buying adapters, extra cords, etc. to even get your chat audio or game chat to feed into the stream. So it’ll pick up the game play. It will pick up your voice. It will not pick up your party or game chat. So on your stream it’s just you talking to yourself. You really need to hook it up to an external streaming service like OBS and run it through a laptop or PC. Basically I’m saying they act like pro streamers use these. I assure you NONE of them use this. Get a pc if you want to stream like a pro.

So here are some details that a streamer might be interested in: It does indeed pass through 120 fps (120Hz) to your gameplay screen at 1080p. That's a huge feature that the cheap products don't match. As the product description states, capturing and streaming are limited to 60fps but that is not a complaint. If you want to capture party / squad chat and gaming audio, you'll want to buy Elgato's Chat Link Pro cable. If you're also investing in a headset for streaming, I'd recommend you opt for a wired headset. This along with the Chat Link Pro cable will get you running with minimum headaches. OBS works great with the HD60 X. Here's a small thing to consider, in order for the passthrough to work, the Elgato needs power. I just plug the Elgato's USB-C cable into the PS5 and that's enough. Then when I setup my latop (for streaming) I disconnect the USB-C cable and connect it to the laptop. I use this on an M1 Max (MacBook Pro) and it work great. If you're trying to decide about streaming quality as it compares to the quality of the PS5 or XBox, the Elgato captures and streams a much sharper image. It might be the casting settings or compression. Either way, you can't control these settings on the console. I hope this helps someone.
