The Next Gen upgrade we needed.

The ease of use and the design surprised me the most because it is easier to cable manage. So your set up can look nice and neat. The device i think also works better with the 4k capture software from Elgato. This is a much buy purchase for yourself or a gift for others that are interested in creating game content or videos for game design class assignments.

That’s priced exactly the same as Elgato’s previous offering, the HD60 S+, so if you already own this device, it probably won’t be worth the upgrade if you’re just going to continue capturing footage in 1080p. But if you want to enjoy 4K passthrough, then this might be the upgrade you need, or if you’ve yet to purchase your first capture card.

Simple and Easy Setup

I connect it to my MacBook pro to OBS and it works like a charm. You might run into issues if your not using a supported USB cable like I did. Most issues i ran into had more to do with OBS or other software like Elgato's screen capture program which still doesn't support this specific device.
