This thing is a beast. I will be using it for various things in the future for my youtube channel. It just works plug it in, fire up OBS, configure based on setup and you're ready to go!

Even without that, it supports VRR and up to 4k60. My PS5 switches from 4k60 to 1440/120 depending on the game. It's nice having the higher frame rates while streaming, the HD60+ didn't support 120hz at any resolution. If passthrough isn't working you have to set the EDID to match your monitor in the Elgato 4K software (only available on Windows PCs).

Excellent Capture Card

Everyone's setup is different, so there will be some tweaks needed to get what you are looking for. I have used this to record PS5 and PC gameplay. With it being external, the ability to swap around devices is very convenient.

Before I even knew what I wanted the sales associate recommended that I give this product a try and I am grateful that I did. I haven't been more pleased with a capture card.

You have to end up buying adapters, extra cords, etc. to even get your chat audio or game chat to feed into the stream. So it’ll pick up the game play. It will pick up your voice. It will not pick up your party or game chat. So on your stream it’s just you talking to yourself. You really need to hook it up to an external streaming service like OBS and run it through a laptop or PC. Basically I’m saying they act like pro streamers use these. I assure you NONE of them use this. Get a pc if you want to stream like a pro.
