Great stand for what I need

This low profile arm is amazing for me because my desk is tiny and I have shelves connecting to one side of my desk so its hard to use a traditional arm. However, this arm eliminates that problem easily. Id say my only complaint I have is that the front extension sags a bit but it still works for how I position my mic.

Low profile and doesn't make noises like spring arms. However, one but is too tight Andi can't fully change the angle of the mic.

Really great, but definitely annoying if you need to adjust often. Definitely a better fit for my current setup since it takes up far less space, but do not get for any setup that requires the mic to change height often.

Great build quality. I misplaced my hyperx box and did not have the attachment to mount to the arm. However, I managed to use the included accessories to mount it. It's not how it is supposed to be mounted, but it works.

Nice and smooth after you adjust the tension to your desire. Thiught it would be a little lower. Working with a dual monitor setup and didnt want to adjust my main monitor as high to get the arm underneath it so i placed it to the side. Good option still.

Clever way to mount your mic from under the monitors. So it saves desk space and can be pushed to the side.

Sags terribly with more expensive microphones.

Definitely not meant for bigger mics. They show it with the El Gato mic on there and rate it for 4.5 lbs, but it can't hold a bigger mic without sagging. We have an Electro-voice RE320 broadcast mic and I ordered 2 of these. Neither of them could hold the RE320 without dropping down and hitting my desk due to the sag. It only holds things with tension so it's not very sturdy. And if you look on Reddit you'll see that the sagging is a common issue no matter how tight you make the arms. Cool concept with the low profile but horrible implementation.

Bought it about 6 months ago, and was incredibly excited that I finally bought a good stand that shouldn't break quickly or squeak horribly. Worked great for 3-4 months, then I noticed it start to not hold it's position, slowly lowering itself. Cut to today, and it will not hold it's position whatsoever. It's a wet noodle, essentially. I've had $20 mic stands last longer than this. Extremely disappointed.

Robust low cost solution for lighter microphone

    Posted .

This is an excellent choice for microphones like a HyperX Solocast which would be too light to counterbalance a spring-tensioned arm. Trivially simple to set up and use, with a particular highlight being the weighty metal cable-routing covers that are very satisfying to install. This arm uses friction for tensioning, so for larger vertical adjustments, you will need to use the thumbscrews, but I haven't minded. Heavier broadcast microphones would probably cause it to sag, so you would want to use a spring-tensioned arm for that. Build quality is consistently high and I appreciated the included thread adapters for different microphone standards. My only concern since I've owned it for less than a month is that I hope the adjustment points don't get too lose over time, since there are no springs in this arm to keep it tensioned.
