Very nice sounding microphone, but it seems to be intended for podcasting more than other recording work. I recorded myself reading and playing acoustic guitar and found that the midrange was very strong on both and the low-end was not full for either. Turns out the bottom end of the frequency response on this mic is 70Hz, and that missing bass was noticeable for me, even boosting it with EQ in post. The software it works with also looks like it would be great for streaming, and is a great mixer, but it offers almost no functionality for signal modification.

So i struggled with afew headsets and mics and this was the answer to them all. The quality is A1 but so is the software you get (WAVELINK). Honestly wave link might be the best thing about this. I found myself having some slight issues with sound when using this with RTX Voice but ever since i disabled that its been perfect. Highly recommended

    A great mic for streamers

For the price and the intended application, it's a really nice mic with a lot of great features. While you certainly could use it for music production, it's really aimed at streamers. To that end, the sound is lacking a bit on the low end and focuses more on the mids and a bit of upper-end clarity. I imagine this was an intentional decision as this helps with audibility. You can tweak it with the (included) EQ if you want a different sound, but this has a great foundation on which to build. It's also well made, the mute button is silent, and the noise floor is low. It's also muted in its design so it doesn't stick out on camera. The software is relatively simple to use and works well. I really don't have anything negative to say about it, what else could you want from a streamer-oriented mic at this price point?

I have this mic for both a conference call set up and for voiceover work for training videos I produce for work. In both instances, it’s great. I wish the software was a little easier to use for the way it splits out audio, but the quality of this mic is great. Being able to have mute controls and even a way to plug-in headphones for local monitoring when doing voice overs was great. I have this coupled with the low profile arm on the side of my desk.

I took a chance on this one (even though it's an Elgato product) because I needed something that was more intuitive to my streaming needs than other software programs. This did not disappoint! The software included for the Wave:3 makes setup and use completely hassle-free and it fulfills the promise made by Elgato to transform your streams. A must-buy!

This a great usb mic for any beginner streamer the price is nice and it comes with a mix amp feature if u have the aux cord. The software is pretty easy to use and I found that sound quality to be far better then gaming headsets. Would recommend this mic 100% if you are looking for something cheaper then higher end but want great quality

Just like everything else made by Elgato, The wave3 mic works seamlessly and has very good audio. I use this mic for streaming and the advanced features it has makes my live stream more simple. I recommend this mic to anyone just getting started in streaming or if you are already an advanced streamer as well. Way to go elgato.

This mic is easily the best USB mic out right now the software alone even makes it better being to separate your audio as a streamer makes things so much easier I like to see the software get a update to where u can control threshold for noise gate compressor bass treble and mid vocals but elgato definitely made a great product

Best mic for the price. Absolutely love my Wave 3 mic for streaming and for voice chat on discord. You download the software that goes with it and it is really streamlined. No extra bells or whistles that’s will get newcomers confused. Simple instructions.

This is already a great mic, but if you're running macOS and looking for something to help with streaming, get it!! Wavelink is one of the best programs I have used that works with my Mac and its wack audio routing issues. Wavelink is the program that comes with the mic, and has a lot of good audio mixes and options if you need to calibrate it for whatever reason. The biggest thing is how that program connects different programs that have audio output that you might be trying to capture (I primarily struggled with capturing my music software or even my voice chats before this). I love this mic, really, and almost 3 years later, I still swear by it.

The pros would be that the mic looks great, the software is great, and the pop filter built in does an ok job. The USB c input is a nice feature, as well as the capacitive mute button on the top. As for cons, this mic will pick up on any noise nearby. It's incredibly sensitive, and takes some tweaking to get it to only pick up your voice. I was able to set it up perfectly to do just that, but it took some time. The software is cool, but it has its issues. After setting everything up perfectly, I updated the mic and it sounded absolutely terrible. Nothing I changed would fix it, and it was either too sensitive, or would barely pick up my voice. Some games I play would have the in game voice chat completely broken when using the dedicated wave input/outputs. I couldn't hear anyone, and no one could hear me. That issue only happened on wave, still worked fine using voicemeeter. Sadly that kind of ruins the mic, as it's one of it's main features to route and tune all your system audio. The mic could be a lot better if that would be fixed, as well as maybe adding a tuning setting to set your mic up out of the box for perfect sound.

For a USB Microphone it's very good out of the Box. The algado wave software is phenomenal. It's easy to use and intuitive and allows you to put different EQ effects. The software also allows you to have different inputs going in So you can monitor different audio outputs on your stream.

Ill admit, I wish I wouldn't have rushed this purchased. I purchased the mic about 3 months before I purchased a GO-XLR interface. So I dont need any of the features this mic has. It sounds great! and if you plan on using it without an interface its def one of the best options! But I will eventually upgrade to a Shure SM7B or something similar. Sounds great, was super easy to setup, and the elgato ecoysystem is one of the best!

Came from a blue yeti. Had to run other softwares to fix things i disliked and still hate how sensitive it was. Pick up a spider on the wall 2 rooms over. This mic isnt like that. Crisp clear and good tocgo out the box. I sound better and dont have to use resource heavy softwares.

Bought for the purpose of creating YouTube videos and for streaming. Premium packaging right out of the box and the software is pretty straight forward (works fine with Windows 11). Great sound quality for price, and arguably better than the Blue Yeti Nano.
