Elgato Wave 3 is a superior piece of audio

It's not a good "1st mic". That being said, if you don't mind setting it up you have a very powerful piece of equipment. You don't get this level of control with any other piece of software or mic.

Great sound but a few problems

Owned for 4 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.+ Awesome voice quality. + Tapping its capacitance mute switch is far faster than looking for and clicking Zoom's mute. - After a 6 months of rock-solid performance, my voice would suddenly and randomly turn into "robot voice" as other people called it. I searched for "elgato wave robot voice" and apparently the problem is 3 years old but not fixed. I tried every "fix" I found online but nothing worked. All I could do was hope somebody told me my voice became a robot, unplug the mic's USB and reconnect, and everybody on the call would need to wait a minute before I could speak again. - WaveLink works well for simple things like controlling the mic output. Adding sound from a browser almost always worked. I could never send the monitor output to a bluetooth headset, only to a wired headphone plugged into the mic.
